I have been horde since the first stress tests over 4 years ago and I still enjoy itI can't imagine myself fighting against the horde, specifically tauren, trolls and orcs. always being against the alliance has made the game fun for me and i don't want to spoil that
I rolled Alliance because of the fact that I didn't like how the Tauren Druid looked - but I wish I had originally rolled Horde. =/
I just have to say, as someone that's played both sides from day one...lol. Faction elitists are so cute. It's a toss-up to which I like best. I absolutely love the blood elf lore and settings, even though their early zones have nowhere near as much amazing storyline as, say, Azuremyst and Bloodmyst. In general, I probably like the Horde storylines more. I love the orcs, I love the blood elves, and I'm right there with a rallying cry of "For Sylvanas!" with the best of them.None of the alliance stories really get me. I find the gnomes downright dull, dwarves funny but cliche, and humans, well...humans. It just seems like there's so much more depth to the stories of the Horde, going through so much tribulation, etc. Sure, the humans have Lordaeron, Stratholme, etc, but somehow it feels more distant than the problems the Horde races have gone through.I do think a lot of the more alliance-themed areas are nicer, though. Darkshore, Teldrassil, Elwynn, Dun Morogh, The Hinterlands, Winterspring, Feralas, etc. I know these are neutral zones (well, some of them), but it still feels like a stronger alliance presence is in each. I really find the Barrens and Durotar to be some of the least agreeable places in game, but then, I'm not fond of most of the south. Tanaris, Desolace...all really depressing, boring places.
