I still use my G15. I map G8 to forward, and g10-12 for left, back, right. its my WASD pad now. G18 is my jump button (like spacebar). Now i have a million hotkeys within reach of my movement keys. No reaching
I'm so used to my ancient Logitech something keyboard that i dont even want to change it but sometimes i require more accuracy from my mouse for playing and even graphical editing for which i use a Razer Lachesis. In WoW the only programmable key i use is for autorun.
This blog seems like a plug for Razer. Gotten some swag from them, eh?
I use the old Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 (Yes, 3.0), it still works but I can feel a drop in performance lately. It has the same 2 programmable buttons on the left side which I use all the time. It also works flawlessly with my Icemat. I highly recommend the icemat before any other non-hardware upgrade. Intellimouse 3.0 are (I think) unfortunately not made anymore so getting one can be a chore.

Me, I'm totally about my G15 (though the G11 would probably serve me as well, since I don't really use the LCD). I've got G1-G5 mapped to F1-F5, G6 mapped to F, and G7-G18 mapped to the top row of my keyboard. This way, I've got my whole action bar under one hand while my right hand's on the mouse. I've had to play without it while I'm visiting family over the holidays, and it's just not the same.
I'm also Razer "equipped"! I'm very happy with my Lycosa Keyboard, Lachesis Mouse, and the eXactMat Mouse Surface. You have already pointed out the epicness of the keyboard, and our mice doesnt sound that much different to me (cba checking out the stats of yours.. *hide*). The Lachesis does have a very special design and grip though, and everyone that tests it out says i'm crazy for being able to live with it. I love it! I also had a Razer Copperhead earlier on, so i guess i've been having that grip for about a year or two now, so i'm used to it:)My mouse surface is also loveable, although it can be a drag seeing its so damn big, and my desk is always overly clustered with things. It has two different aliminium surfaces to choose from, one more smooth than the other. The smooth side is called "Speed" and is used for more intense games like CS i guess? (Im just a wowgeek, i wouldn't really know). The other side is called "Control", and that's the one i use. It feels like the mouse stays put a bit more, and everything i do is very accurate (with help from the mouse of course!) The eXactMat also came with a wrist-rest as well! Very comfortable :)These three items were on a campaign-thingy so i got them all for the price of only the mouse+keyboard put together at original prices (wohoo, the mat for free). Don't know if i would go for a different combination of Razer things if i hadn't seen that campaign-ad but ah well! I'm very pleased with what i got!
I've been using a Lycosa keyboard(switched from a Saitek Eclipse...unfortunate cola accident) for a while and absolutely love it. It has laptop style keys but the normal tacticle response of any old desktop keyboard. I was nervous buying it since I can't type for crap on a laptop, but I was surprised :)Also using a Copperhead mouse, but looking into upgrading to one of Razer's newer models. Razer's definitely got my money for peripherals(can't stand the Logitech ergonomic mouse shape) but I hear their headsets need a little work.
I use Saitek Eclipse keyboard, it is so awesome! With a light environment the keys turn completely white (Even though i don't have such strong lamps for it), and in dark environment the keys turn Jet Black, which is my favorite part :) That razer lycosa ain't bad at all aswell, i tried it in my friends house, it is cool, silent and... COOL! But i prefer my Saitek Eclipse... Since IMO it is much cooler and it is half price of razer lycosa here in Sweden :D But... this is a little bit of advertising... but i guess that is all right since you like own WoWhead or something :P
i'm currently using the razer lycosa keybord, the razer goliathus control and the razer salmosa and I must say it changed my experience in playing WoW quite a lot. The keyboard has very comfortable keys and the mouse pads by razer are always top-notch quality.
I just aquired a Razer Naga mouse. So far so good. Very complex though. I've had it for about 24 hours and I like it but it is going to take a bit of getting used to. I read good reviews of it on this and a few other gaming forums so It seems like a good idea. I would be interested in know any pitfalls those of you who use it have seen.
... what kind of sound card did you get?
