Good stuff. Much needed changes.
Also the scaling is bs. I can clear 2 as any spec of Warrior -I beat Synod pre-nerf- but I can't clear a single floor of 3 at all.
Everyone loves to complain
The real issue was pushing this out almost a month into the expansion, of course you're going to have negative feedback when a majority of players feel like they just got massively nerfed. The two biggest things is A) Doing this change really screws over getting a pretty significant amount of Soul Ash now, which could be considered needed, but this should have been done in *beta*, not on live and with people that have already doing them for 2-3 weeks, which leads me to B) They made it such an obvious negative comparison, you can easily look at it and say that you were doing layers 5 and 6 maybe with some difficulty, and now barely can do 3 or even 2, of course people are going to feel frustrated at that.
Biggest thing I want to see is their point #3.I've played Torghast on two different classes so far: Death Knight and Warlock.Death Knight is boring. They have minimal powers that change how they play, and even less that interacts with Frost DK at all (nothing affects the core abilities at all, except Howling Blast's AoE range). Blood and Unholy at least benefit more from the Death & Decay/Death's Due stuff, since it is built into the core of their specs, while Frost DKs only care if they went Night Fae (and 2H Frost has issues there, cause they nerfed the stack building, cause DW gets 2x the stacks, so 2H suffers). Unholy gets all the pet stuff as well, so that isn't bad for them. My best runs as a DK have involved playing Blood (high Death's Due uptime), and just stacking all the powers for it, it at least moves well enough. But it isn't "fun", it's the same rotation, just with more power behind one ability.Warlock is fun. Only tried on Destruction, but I had a run where my trip became:- Don't use Incinerate to save up a big damage nuke for the boss- 30% Soul Shard refund on Chaos Bolt cast, so spam those- Infernal summons TWO of them, lasts a minute, AND when summoned, each one has a chance to consume a Soul Remnant to deal 100% extra damage for the duration! That was so much fun.I hope the specs that literally look for DPS increases only in the generic damage powers, get some love soon, and get to have crazy unique runs, where the spec runs wild.
It would be better if the soul ash were given multiple times for the same floor, up to certain weekly limit. Now it feels like we will be getting behind if we don't run higher floors, even with the lack of gear. This is bad for both high-end gamers and casual players. Blizzard should offer more prestige to those nerds while everyone else can still have a chance to follow.
Thank Elune for this. There's no reason why I should spend more time on one layer than on a +6 mythic.
Great, this is going to last all expansion... Looks like it's time to go farm achievements in old content.
Oh yeah, my holy pala was healing mobs to death, smh.
