I don't understand why they don't just make it so, say, brain freeze cast flurrys give fingers of frost charges. It seems overly and pointlessly complicated in its current iteration.
I’ve just been using a stop casting macro on my flurry so if I start casting a FB and get a proc, I just push Flurry and use that instead of finishing the cast.
I just checked it out, and found out that flurry actually adds stacks of winter chill each hit to a maximum of 2 stacks. That means if you cast frostbolt and flurry, you'll immediately spend one stack of flurry, which will be instantly recharged by incoming flurry hits. This means you can get frostbolt+winterchill, ice lance+winterchill, ice lance+winterchill. If you try using frostbolt + flurry and glacial spike though, it will turn to frostbolt+winterchill and glacial spike+winterchill. There will be a remaining stack, but you won't be able to use it due to global cooldown, unless you're under timewarp or icy veins.Edit: kept on testing, you can also manage to get ice lance+winterchill 3 times if you're fast enough.
just as weird as relying on spell travel times
Isn’t this almost exactly what shadow priests had been doing with flays for almost 2 years?
