Like a significant amount of people, I am waiting to hit level 60 (as feral main) and check end content. If it is still the most hated class by blizz, it's time for farewell. Cause it's not about ferals being weak but it's about Blizz being unfair for years to a particular spec. I can not understand how a game company hold grudge to a spec in their most famous game. People say: "it's pre-patch, it will change when chars hit level 60". Nope! it has not for ferals for 3 expansions. Havoc was OP since early legion until 9.0.1. In early MoP, WW monks were selling 3s, 2.4k rating letting 2 others stay afk. I think blizzard can not manage to run a good simulation amongst classes. They try to add appealing dynamics into game but they fail in background. At least this scenario is more acceptable than "blizz hating ferals".
Players: "hey, that spec is fun!"Blizz: "Fun? nerf it"
"How to get class nerfed in pre-patch where azurite traits are broken before even shadowlands balance" - this postLike seriously, people will cry without even thinking and blizz will take action, even thought it's just a pre-patch with unbalanced stats and traits.
Reading half of the comments is pure examaple why such post should not exist in pre-patch period. Even the title is wrong "Analysis of Shadowlands DPS" this pre-patch has nothing to do with shadowlands expect lvl squish and some skill changes, we dont have lvl 60 we dont have main features of shadowlands, the word "shadowlands" should not even be in Title.
I found literally ALL of these rankings at ALL times EVER to be INCREDIBLY inaccurate and their ONLY use is to get meta idiots worked up. Emphasis is needed.
Thanks for this post. I have been trying to find a definitive update to the ranking for weeks. This is extremely useful for those of us who run high keys and mythic raids, because we actually reach the ceilings of each class. Those who complain probably are playing down there, where the individual players' skills make a bigger difference than the individual class's ceiling. It is laid out right at the beginning that the data consist of the top 5% of players. If you aren't top 5%, this applies to you less the lower you are.If you're at the top, you bring the class/spec, not the player. If you're down there, you bring the player, not the class/spec.Of course, by definition there are 19x more people down there than the 5% at the top. So you expect to see 19x more complaints than praises.
is wowhead seriously bumping this thread up the news feed?
Irresponsible to publish this article. The raw data may be of interest to those who truly understand how it was produced and the very many limitations therein. The problem is far too many will use it as some sort of reference for what to main, who to invite, or which spec to play. As far as useful data for determining what specs you want in your raid for the entirety of Shadowlands, every bit of this "data" is as useful as randomly generated numbers.
Feral is last on the list and doesn't even make the most hurt list because Blizz has been neglecting it so long everyone just expects it to be unplayable...
Regarding Holy Paladins
Well this puts paid to the oft repeated slogan bring the player not the class. Now Blizz will tell us all classes are equal but as this article shows, and to be further hit home in the recounts, that some classes are clearly more 'equal' than others.
Perfect. Holy priest will be at the top now when things don't matter, only for things to go back to disc priest/druid/paladin for raids/M+ in SL.
Can you stop moving up old news on the news feed, please? I have a method of going through the news I'm interested in and this completely ruins it.
