Retribution is going to gain quite a few old talents as baseline abilities. You'll always have access to Scia di Ceneri
, Martello dell'Ira
, and Parola di Gloria
albeit with some changes. Benedizione del Sacrificio
is a utility ability that we'll once again be able to use to either help save another player during periods of heavy damage or get maximum damage from Scudo della Vendetta
. Other than that, we're gaining Scudo del Virtuoso
which won't be used very often since it requires a shield equipped to use and many of our other abilities require a two-handed weapon to be cast, and Repulsione del Male
which is a single target fear that can be cast on Undead, Aberrations, and Demons.
Auras are also returning to Paladins. These are raid-wide buffs with a restriction that only one can be used at a time per Paladin. Multiple buffs of the same type don't stack. You'll want to make sure there's one Paladin using Aura della Devozione
in your group, but if someone else has that buff covered feel free to use one of the other two. Aura della Concentrazione
is also available in Shadowlands but can't be used during pre-patch due to its level requirement.
In place of the now-baseline talents, Retribution will have a lot of new (and some returning) talent options. Azerite Traits Potenza Empirea
and Decreto della Luce
are being added as Potenza Empirea
and Ira Consacrata
, giving us access to more cleave damage options. Serafino
and Vendicatore Sacro
both allow for more burst oriented builds on a 45 sec and 3-minute cooldown respectively. Regolamento di Conti Finale
is a brand new ability that does a large chunk of AoE damage and increases the damage that your other Holy Power spenders do to the targets, and is looking like an extremely potent option as well. On the defensive side of things, Mani Curative
increases the healing potential of Parola di Gloria
massively and can be very strong if you don't mind spending some Holy Power on it rather than on your damaging abilities.
