Every tier, people like to make crazy group compositions to clear the highest difficulty they can. This time around, Method's
Nnoggie
managed to get 30 tanks together and clear Ny'alotha, the Waking City on Heroic difficulty!
10-Minute Highlight
Method has posted a 10-minute video containing highlights of the crazy run on their
YouTube channel
.
Full Run VoD
You can watch the full VoD of the run on Nnoggie's Twitch channel!

30 Tanks vs Nyalotha Heroic from Nnoggie on www.twitch.tv
WarcraftLogs
Looking to see how much damage Twilight Devastation did? The run was uploaded on WarcraftLogs as well!
How Did They Do It?
The main factor that enabled such a crazy clear was the use of creative game mechanics to boost the damage of the Corruption ability
Twilight Devastation
, which unlike many other Corruptions, scales exclusively from your maximum health.
What made such massive Twilight Devastation hits possible was the stacking of the minor tank Azerite Essence
Strength of the Warden
, which increases the health of all Tanks at the raid by 3%, stacking with itself. With all 30 tanks in the raid using the Azerite Essence, plus many Stamina-increased items like the Timewarped version of
Royal Seal of King Llane
from Timewalking Ulduar, many of the tanks of the run were stacking millions of health, and by proxy, dealing millions of damage every time they got a Twilight Devastation proc. They were also requiring other items such as
Vita-Charged Titanshard
equipped, to try to fish for as many Twilight Devastation procs as they can get.
The Blood Death Knights in the run could push their maximum health further with the help of the Azerite Essence major
Vision of Perfection
, which procs
Vampiric Blood
for them! With Vampiric Blood active, some DKs were approaching 5 million health.
Twilight Devastation is a very popular offensive Corruption option with tanks because of the way its damage scales, but with such measures, its damage has definitely been pushed far and beyond! The first screenshot is from the highest beam damage halfway through Ny'alotha and the second one is hits on the
Psychus
, an add from the
N'Zoth the Corruptor encounter
that takes increased damage.

The group led by a method member did a full clear.
The druid group did not but wants credit for clearing it before the all tank group.
And that somehow diminishes it? They got AOTC, skipped one boss, and they already went in this past weekend and got three Mythic bosses down with most of the raid having little or no mythic experience.
Seems like Wowhead has some kind of fanboy/fangirl obsession with Method here, when the fact remains that you have the cream of the crop doing the content, like it's some big deal.
Meanwhile, you have regular people doing the same content and Wowhead is silent. Biased reporting at its finest.
No respect for Wowhead or the Method players that think they're so far above the rest of us when in reality, average joes went in and did the same damn thing they're doing. Copycats because they could not stand someone else getting some attention. Sad really.

Yes, it does diminish it because what people are claiming happened, never did. People on here claiming the druid group did the same thing as group led by a guy in method, but the fact is they did not. It was not a full clear, aotc or otherwise. I'm not sure why you're having so much trouble grasping that.
And that's great and all that they were able to kill the 3 easiest bosses on the raid on mythic. Bravo to them. 3 mythic bosses still doesnt mean they full cleared heroic.

You are absolutely correct. Method did what we did but just better. They killed the 1 boss we were forced to skip and they did absurdly better damage and cleared the whole thing much easier and much more quickly.
If the only thing that made this newsworthy was the fact it was a full clear then you are 100% accurate they did it and we didn't and we don't even deserve to be mentioned. I do not begrudge method their publicity over this stuff they did an absolutely phenomenal job. But as the person who started the bear run, and as someone trying to become a bit of a streamer, I did get a little salty about being overlooked here.
For further clarity I am very sorry for the toxicity that has occurred on this post. I have talked about this post in our discord and it is possible some of these salty writers are my fellow bears (though I hope not as I've asked them not to rage here).
Mardux is absolutely correct. Method achieved a higher accomplishment than we did. We were told what we wanted to do was impossible by many people and we did it anyway. Then Method came in and proved it isn't just possible.. it is easy.. (with very high gear and corruption at least). Kudos to them.

With very high gear and corruption - so there in and of itself, what the bear group did IS noteworthy. They did it with regular people. Undergeared in many cases.
The fact still stands that the group deserved a mention and giving kudos instead to absurdly overgeared players is simply because it was Method.
Mardux is another Method fanboy. Or maybe even one of their guys, who knows...
