Sounds pretty cool. I like this temporary buffs like oil, that makes you adapt to the situation at hand. It's much more a role play based approach.
I actually like all these profession changes, there a lot of things to craft and a lot more gold to make!
why nerf drums? it gave LW at least something that wasn't worthless, now it's a pointless prof with only sub-par gear to it's name. the 5% reduction was more than enough
lol about all this ppl so what do u like? that u again farm more? u all cry about it now, so whats the hype?
Love wizard oil and so happy to see it return! They removed it and sharpening stones for wotlk because of "raiding consumable cost", which made no sense due to them being the cheapest consumable (that also persisted thru death). Hopefully these consumables returning means we finally ditch the always stupid, unnecessary, and fully untertuned augment runes. Into the bin with those.
I hope this stays in roughly this form! I love the deeper RPG feel of these extra consumables that give the option of greater adaptability to any situation. Sounds like some people prefer the game to be mindless, but I say bring it on!
Normal players: What the heck does the OOC in the OOC Regenwich mean?Roleplaying Players: *Snickers quietly*
I see something called the Holy Hand Grenade of Ardenweald I can only think of one thingHALLELUJAH!If something like that doesn't play when you use it I shall be much disappoint.
Jesus, this comment section is a damn tornado. First people were complaining that ALL professions except for alchemy and enchanting were almost completely useless and yielded close to no reliable profits and now that they add some item enhancements to many professions to try and make them step up their profitability by actually having what the hell to sell, everyone starts complaining. Can people start up making their mind for once? Sure the duration of some of those items seems really underwhelming; say 10 minute for oils, hell we have currently in the games fights that last 10 minutes and above, so having to reapply them during mid-fight is a kick in the shin. It's a step in the good way to making professions being relevant again, hopefully they build up more.People that complaining that a few new craftables are too much of a chore, get a grip. Professions are supposed to be a time sink for people that really want to make gold other than boosting or praying to RNG gods to get some BoEs.What they really need to fix here are durations for those consumables and that's it.
By the light OILS AND SHARPENING STONES MY GOODNESS DOES THIS BRING ME BACK!
Ooo. I'm interested to see what the invisibility belt device does for engineering, and altho I'll probably never use it I'm kinda excited to be able to craft a holy hand grenade, lol. Here's hoping potions will be affordable again next exp tho. They've been prohibitively expensive all the way thru BfA, and I haven't bought/used a single one.
Sharpening stones? Seriously? %^&* directly off with this Classic garbage.
I still wonder why the enchanter chicken mount was canned and if we ever get it.
Only two things I don't really like about the weapon oils: Only 10 minute duration is a nuisance. Most raid bosses are over 5 minute encounters, so you have to apply it before every pull. That's a huge strain on your ressources, unless they are ridiculously cheap to make. And even then it's annoying to apply them before every encounter. And the potions having effects buffed because of the oils is kinda weird, at least in the variety of them. The embalmer's oil sounds like something you might even use as a tank, because you get the full benefit, unlike probably most of the healers. But the potions for this oil are... weird? One increases your healing abilities, okay, pure healer potion, I get that. The other exchanges your mana cost for health cost. And that potion in itself is weird enough. Losing 20% health for the next 4 mana spells seems excessive, unless you can use spells that take like 10% or more of your mana pool with repeatable casts. So the embalmer's oil is a pure healer thing, as the associated potions don't do anything for non-healers. Unless you want to use sub-par potion effects.
Are some people seriously complaining about there being "Too much stuff" to do... or professions will be a chore? Professions are boring right now... having more stuff is a very welcome change.
This sounds like a serious step backwards. Classic wow is already a thing, People can go play that if they want to have to spend a ton of money on consumeables to raid. I get people wanting professions to be more useful, but at the same time I don't really see why they should have such an impact on combat. This is going to increase the cost of raiding again, when already many people are avoiding raids because they can get high end content without it and all that jazz anymore. Retail shouldn't be taking ques from classic, that's it's own game, and people who want that sort of thing have it. Please don't clog retail up with a ton of clutter. Not to mention the idea of having weight and sharpening stones seperate again is just terrible, weapon choice was purely cosmetic and it should stay that way.
Yes, things were removed for a reason.
Love it!
