Jeez. Why must we have corruption instead of Light? Why?
People seems to thinkOh! 2% more Crit, DPS UPGRADEE TONS OF DAMAGE.Wrong... it depends on the negative affix. The void zone that spawns beneath you... it deals a lot of damage to you. Imagine proccing on the middle of the "buff rotation", as a rogue if this &*!@ proccs when i am using Vendetta... am done.Imagine apart from that, having the little bug + zone. And ETC ETC.This pieces of gear are good, if the user of those "KNOWS" how to deal with them, or has a lot of Anti Corrupted things, like the Lego cape, the essence slot, the new essences. ETC ETC.Sad although about the crafting corrupted gear. It could be nice to have that options just for funzies.
Min-Maxers need those %damage anyways. So if you're a casual (like me) and dont want to min-max then just STFU and remove corruptions from your gears. No need to tell "HuRr dUrR cOrRuPtIoN iZ bHaD".
Anything that blocks ground mechanics on a random basis is not going to be great, having to rely entirely on weakauras, screen auras (even default), etc. to avoid mechanics because of something proccing on your gear is not great.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd like titanforging back instead of this corruption BS :/
I don't know if the void zone covering up mechanics is necessarily as bad as it sounds. If it covers up something you don't want to stand in anyway, is it really a problem if you can't see it? It's just one bad spot being covered up by another (probably larger) bad spot.Definitely still a lot of undesirable scenarios the void zone can cause/lead to, though.
Could we just not have this? Thanks
As a Blood DK I have to say: I can't wait to get my hands on the corrupted tank weapon (hopefully it doesn't have some BS internal cooldown, I still need to take like 700k damage to trigger it anyway), and maybe some pieces with Leech or Healing. I will gladly stand in that black void to recieve more damage, in the hopes that it adds to my healing as well. And those 10-20k damage every 2 seconds doesn't sound so bad for me. More curious if that 40+ thingy does % damage or flat damage numbers.
