*sigh* Opted in, my account has never lapsed since the game went live and I wasn't flagged?
Was there any confirmation on whether you have to be subbed or not to be flagged/receive an invite?
And now we finally get to see if we're getting vanilla or rainbow sherbet!
no sign yet, oh well.
Well, hopefully next wave.
My account has been active since actual vanilla beta... And I don't get in. kay.
Sure it is ...sure it is
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
I've actually never been invited to a single beta test since I have been playing back in 2004, its weird stuff. My PC has varied in age / specs the whole time too (either behind or cutting edge) so should have been a candidate for some hardware group.. Never understood the algorithm and/or how I'm that unlucky. Grats to everyone who got in though, test it good for us! :D
I'm not sure why they even bother pretending that this is for anyone other than streamers? Streamers have been streaming "waiting room" streams all day, fully in the knowledge that it goes without saying that they'll have an invite.Honestly, if that's how Blizzard wanna do it then sure, but don't be scummy liars about it.
I think mostly streamers got the access for now. Don't worry guys, we're getting it on next wave of invites!
Blizzard already said that the beta is gonna be a small pool and stress tests later so no doubt only streamers or big name youtubers are gonna get access not your average joe/jane player.
Oh, the beta's live? That means the storm of 'but I've been playing WoW since before it was released, where's my invite?' posts is live as well.
I imagine most of the people who get in will be content creators, many of whom didn't even vouch for classic at all. Meanwhile, us veterans, with accounts dating back to 2004, and who signed the petition and have been backing this project ever since, will likely not get in.The world can be a cruel place sometimes.
Why are people salty streamers got in? Ofc they will get in they are influencers. Seeing them having fun makes people even more hyped and desperate to play it. They basically get given access to drum up hype it’s free advertising. Blizzard can also watch the chats and see how people react in a way they can’t through a poll. The feedback streams and chats provide can be essential.
I hope they allow Friends and Family in soon. I know I typically get my invite about a week after streamers. :/
Its very likely we didnt check the opt in for WoW Classic. Wasnt expecting it to be a seperate opt in lol
