If you've seen and done it all before, I highly recommend Azeroth AutoPilot. Shaved hours off my usual time because it removes a ton of dialogue/turnin clicking time.Helps my poor fingers, too!
Helpful tip for 20-60.Eastern Kingdoms is faster for both factions.Silverpine - Hillsbrad - Hinterlands - Plaguelands for Horde.Westfall - Redridge- Duskwood - Plagueslands for Alliance.
Will vouch for that, except I didn’t do westfall, just redridge>duskwood>stv (both)> wpl. That got me to 60 easily with only half of wpl done. In addition, I would recommend knocking out a dungeon every 10 levels (30,40 etc) as well as doing both a random wrath/bc or mop/cata once you reach those brackets. Broke up the monotony of leveling. I also recommend monk for fastest leveling. The Xp buff is amazing. I went from 20-80 in about 12 hours of play.
I do all DGs, one by one, just to complete the missions. No "random DG". I do random DGs only after doing all for the first time.Prefer to stay out in a place with rested xp.Quests: I prefer the Eastern Kingdoms, too. And Northrend.
Two-thirds of Vash'jir and a handful of quests in Hyjal saw me through 80-90 when levelling a LF Draenei. Shadowmoon and a fraction of Arak for WoD. Levelling really is insanely fast now, especially with the Legion invasions throwing XP at you. 60-80 was still a drag though...LK questing is still pretty horrible (but better than Outland).
I see a lot of people do the same things I do. As I am getting close to the 30s at this point so far as leveling toons, I have found a lot of quick little things that shave off time. Addons that let you skip quest text are great and there are at least a couple to choose from. Working on SPECIFIC dungeons and dismissing the ones you complete for the quests the first time around, and doing zone quests in between all the way to 80.So long as the zones are in your proper bracket there's no need to care which ones you do, what order, or why. Once you hit about 40, most thinngs will be open so just choose whatever flavor feels the most fresh to you at the time. Aim for zones with mogs you want, the little goals are great for keeping you focused and feeling more entertaines. 60-80 is at least a lot less painful. I have uses each new toon to help me do zome completions which were erased to me for some reason. I had to redo much of outland. One entire zone can get you well beyond 80 if you are doing dungeons with it too. I say OL simply because, for me, NR has been long completed and I am pretty bored of it. 80-90 is when I start doing chain random dungeons. As DPS filling that time with quests is important to keep momentum but if u play a support role and get fast quesy you can blast right through it all. I prefer pandaria dungeons which are usually shorter and less prone to bugs. That random xp bonus more than makes up for lack of quests since none of the dungeons have kore than a few quests each. I avoid cata dungeons like the plague since they are often longer, more tedious, more prone to bugs, and it seems people have a hard time dealing with some of the mob mechanics even on trash. After 90, getting to 100 is a breeze. Do zone intro, get garrison, get xp potion from your resource guy. Do all zone bonus objectives. You will easily be ready to move on to the next zone. Rinse, repeat. Intro to unlock base ability, which unlocks all bonus obj. Complete them, move on. Save Arak for LAST (lvl99), and get thay 20% xp increade buff. You won't lose momentum. Do arak bonus obj, done. In fact I often end WoD at lvl 103 beforr I even grt to legion. It has been nerfed a bit (the bonus obj were scaling too high before and have been nerfed but I actually got a toon to 105, not understanding why they gave more hahaha). I also tend to avoid WOD dungeons. I random once per level, if that, typically.Legion is a matter of doing a dungeon per level at least. Randoms for bonus xp.and then just bouncing about zones doing bonus obj and whatever quests you please. I can get to current content in a few dedicated days on pretty much anything this way, but I also tend to leave those days for DMF buff week. It makes it all just that small bit faster and leaves the rest of my play time to breath, enjoy my current 120s, and not burn out. Pacing yourself is important lol, esp if you play tank/heal. Doing these roles means super fast leveling thanks to fast AF dungeon que but leveling with a reliable partner makes it so much less painful. If you are doing a new class to yourself, LISTEN to people you dungeon with wgo may critique you about not using CDs enough, missing a key part of rotation, etc. It becomes apparent when you are missing something pretty fast and when you are working througj your OL/NR bracket it can slow you down quite a bit.And don't lose your sanity! Remember to take breaks every hour for at least ten minutes. Get up, walk round, stretch, play with your pets or check in with your spouse or fam or roommates or whoever maybe, have a little snack, and drink plenty of water! For people like me, who are prone to migraines, these breaks make it easy to binge play if I really wanna hammer out levels or am helping a friend. And, you know, it's good for your health. Makes things more enjoyable if you don't feel dehydrated and worn out from screen fatigue. We all love to feel successful binge leveling toons at supersonic GOTTAGOFAST speed but it is a game and the real you needs to stop for mana sometimes haha.
These really need to point out that you also need to do a quest chain after satisfying the other criteria, and point out where they start in the allied races hall for each faction. At one point I'd kind of forgotten about that extra quest bit and it took out a while to figure out how come I wasn't able to make a Dark Iron Dwarf when I clearly had the listed criteria satisfied. Even the character creation system doesn't give a good pointer about this.
Still wish we could buy the EXP potions that the Asian servers have. Sure the ones from BfA is nice and all, but I need more! MORE!
The monk leveling guide still doesn't mention the XP buff daily you can get from Peak of Serenity. The buff is so huge, not mentioning it is preposterous!
Since no one has mentioned it yet, I've found Loch Modan an excellent zone for leveling on Alliance. I've used Duskwood and Loch Modan in just about every alt I've leveled recently, with great success. Depending on your class, I do not recommend Redridge, as some of those enemies can be pretty tough against a squishy class or one without regular access to healing or defensive abilities.
