A one time Free Realm Transfer for each char would be awesome with this...
I find the change useless as I have 50 characters already created most of them over level 100.
Okay, did they fix the character selection screen as well that takes way to much space per character now?Probably not.
I wish they'd let us condense toons to one realm from connected realms after this change. I play on a cluster with two realms, and made most of my allied races on the 'off-realm' due to the realm character limit. It would be nice if we could get them all on the same character selection screen. I get they cannot give us free realm transfers, since too many people would abandon low-pops, but moving toons between connected realms should in theory not affect realm population since they're pooled anyway.
Well, it's a good start. Nowhere near 50 toons so that doesn't bother me yet... but moving seven from my second account to the main so I can drop one subscription, that will hurt if they don't do a sale or something.
Well it also need to raise the cap for communities. The cap is 1,000 since 8.0 and also add something where it shows when a person was last online.Since the cap is so low, I had to create 3 Island Communities.
They're giving you new bright and shine feature that you asked long time ago and all I see is comments like "Nice, but they should..." ;)Please, enjoy that thing for at least a day before asking for more? :) Give them a finger and they'll take the whole hand, my gosh ;)
Now I am waiting for us to see soon, "In the shop, we have a token that will increase your account limit from 50 in increments of 10 to a cap of 100 per account. For each 10 slot increase, it is only $19.95. See our shop for more details." lmao
Having 50 character limit made sense when it was Classic WoW where there were like ten classes (if I recall correctly and it allowed for those so inclined to have 5 realms x 10 classes) but then the number of classes got increased to 12 (so, in essence, it became 5 realms x 12 classes). Yes, this makes the assumption a player is going down the route of not only being a completist in terms of classes but also having all classes per realm. The reality, however, is this sum for such a completist: 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 2. Even with 50 on a realm, it's still this sum. You always have either just 48 characters so not to have the "stragglers" (the + 2) even with this new change. For 12 classes there NEEDS to be 60 characters cap...at a minimum! So a random player can do 12 classes per realm with NO stragglers. The math is undeniable in this respect. Now about those allied races. No one at Blizzard had likely ever thought of doing these back in when it was Classic Wow and when the "50 per account" rule was established. There ARE players who have capped the limit of an account. I personally have read comments in the past that suggest of players who have done it more than once. Blizzard can EASILY see in my battle.net how many characters I have, for example, and the "MYTH" that are pursued by "SOME" Blizzard staff that "no one plays that many alts" is a blatant lie. ANY person who does multi-boxing is immediately outside this argument. The introduction of "Allied Races" was a curse and a blessing at the same time. A player who is capped is FORCED into the awkward position of deciding between deleting a loved character OR moving it to a secondary account OR not to bother with the Allied races. I moved a character to make space for the ONLY Allied race character I have. I had the expense of moving and IF I want to raise that character to the current level cap the cost of reactivation of the account in question AND the purchase of the expansion. It's a "PLAY TO WIN" situation that's forced on those who DO cap our accounts and did so long before ANY Allied races were introduced as a POSSIBILITY!For EVERY Allied Race, and ONLY for ONE ACCOUNT per Battle.net, there needs this to be introduced. A hidden soft cap that does the following. If BEFORE the launch of Battle For Azeroth you had the "50 characters per account" one account that then was upgraded to Battle For Azeroth, you earn a credit of ONE FREE transfer per Allied race introduced to another account within the SAME Battle.net account. And make it retrospective.I created the majority of my characters in Cataclysm, some in WotLK and a few of them at the beginning of MoP. The lowest level character is around level 40 and the highest is around level 80. I've done a LOT of quests (about 50% of them) on most of these characters, done a lot of achievements, collected gear that may have ended up in the transmogrification list, and invested in their professions (MOST of my characters are a minimum of 300+ in profession and that was BEFORE Battle For Azeroth arrived AND both in the primary and secondary skill set). I've INVESTED as heavily in my many characters as would a mythic raider do so for their mythic raiding. The MYTH that only mythic raiders (or similar) care about investing in their characters is WRONG. Eventually, we catch up because when a person is an ALTOHOLIC they WILL eventually invest in "doing as many things as possible too." Blizzard, you can SEE how many raid bosses and dungeons I've done on THIS character, and MOST was done by going in there alone just to get the achievements. I think ANY person with 50+ characters (or anyone who's striving towards this goal) can IDENTIFY in one way or another with the SENTIMENT expressed here. You claimed at the last BlizzCon for there to be MORE than raiding as a path of progression. HAVING MANY ALTS IS OUR PATH OF PROGRESSION! DO NOT punish us for it by adding more Allied races without offering a way of NOT losing alts we've been levelling. Also, DO NOT make having more than 50 characters a "play to win" feature with a DODGY in-game purchasable item. That's not fair towards people who prefer fewer characters.Only YOU know how many Allied races are going to happen. If it is ten in total, then make the account so it unlocks ten extra slots (i.e. from 50 to 60 slots) the moment a player has earned their first Allied race. Because common, we still DESERVE some sort of viable and tangible COMPENSATION for the disaster that was Warlords of Draenor where you broke the rules of storytelling, and gave us the "beginning" of the story and then skipped to the "last chapter" even skipping a proper climax, and NO, killing Archimonde's foot was NOT a proper climax. Neither is telling us that Yrel has gone "cult leader."So I guess that I may have written a post that most people won't even read. The TL:DR version of all the above is that I've said since the start of Battle For Azeroth that for there to be Allied races there need to extra slots beyond 50 for capped players...
This is so beautiful I'm gonna cry.
Wondering if they will offer free migration of chars to your realm :D
Simple math here, the game's been out for 14 years, the character limit per account is 50, that means we're only allowed 3 and a half characters per year. It's a bit silly for people who love leveling alts. Especially since BFA has brought so many reasons to level new characters (many more new races than any expansion before, different story on Horde and Alliance, heritage armors ...)Please Blizz, I need those extra character slots.
Finally! :)
Is the ”hero class” restriction being lifted as well or are we still limited to only one Demon Hunter (and Death Knight?) per realm?
Still only one DH per realm though?
