This seems more like a Coldbreak than a Hotfix
Not going to lie I'd be pissed if I were Alliance. I was able to gear up several horde alts and my main (380 warforged belt)(and to those who say "ohh you could've done mythic 0 for the same time and geared just as much" could I have done those mythics at 250-260 ilvl while watching an entire season of Breaking Bad? Because I afked those 340s looking/moving occasionally just to avoid getting kicked)
I have mixed feelings about this. I'm one of the "lucky ones" that got his 370 weapon before the iLvl restriction and I understand that this can be a blow to the balance of the PvP and raid progression for competitive players or add more fuel to the "Horde is always spoiled by the devs" mentality.Frankly, I was about to farm the Warfront just to gear up and skip doing heroics to get better gear before the hotfix was applied (I spent the last couple of days before the hotfix rushing my alts to get to 120 before the Warfront was closed to gear up) so I can agree that letting a fresh 120 do it would mess with the "expected game design" for the expansion (even if most of the players think it's a lousy one ATM). Until now I haven't touched any of the dungeons because the only enticement to do so is to get the next rank recipes for my professions so I get why having a more rewarding option available would need some requirements to prevent abuse.I also think that Blizzard should do a better job testing anything before implementing them to the game since it almost seems that every week we find something in the expansion that is fun or rewarding to do just for it being removed or changed in a hotfix because "it wasn't supposed to act that way" :/
