Possible BFA Animated Shorts For Sylvanas, Azshara, Jaina Hinted in WoW 2019 Calendar
12/07/2018 alle 08:30
A World of Warcraft 2019 calendar posted on Amazon depicts new artwork of Sylvanas, Jaina, and Azshara. As the remaining artwork in the calendar comes from past WoW animated series like
Lords of War
, and Blizzard discussed BFA animated shorts in an
interview with Inven
, speculation points to the artwork of Sylvanas, Jaina, and Azshara coming from the future BFA animated shorts.

World of Warcraft 2019 12 x 12 Inch Monthly Square Wall Calendar - $14.99
With its winning combination of fantastical lore and high-concept artistry, it’s no wonder Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft became the gaming behemoth that it is. This captivating wall calendar features a collection of awe-inspiring illustrations and paintings from the talented artists who originally dreamt up your favorite heroes, villains, and mystical lands—and includes new scenes from the Legion expansion. This is the exquisite art of World of Warcraft—a must-have for any WoW fan.
The product description on Amazon includes images of all the artwork, and a close-up of Azshara:
Azshara is depicted in January and March. For January, she's a beautiful elf, sinking into the water after the Sundering. For March, she has been transformed into the queen of the Naga. We learned in
Chronicle Volume 3
that Azshara is a servant of N'Zoth and led the attack of Vash'jir in Cataclysm. In Battle for Azeroth, she will be the final boss of an upcoming raid.
Jaina is depicted in June and October. After her absence in Legion, Jaina is coming back in a major way in the expansion, playing a large role in diplomacy between Kul Tiras and Stormwind. You can learn more about her story (spoilers) in the

Thros the Blighted Lands
Sylvanas is depicted as a High Elf Ranger in November, and there's a menacing picture of Arthas for August, so we could see her capture and transformation in an animated short. December shows the Burning of Teldrassil. At the
April Media Day
, press learned that we'd discover how Teldrassil catches on fire through an animated short which uses that same artwork.
Media Day Interview
Here is an excerpt from
's interview with Blizzard discussing the animated shorts. Due note that this was not an exact translation, only a written transcript was provided, not the audio source.
Q. So Sylvanas is the bad guy, Anduin is the good guy? Horde is Evil, Alliance is good? What is different Sylvanas from Garrosh?
A. This is our mistake, but we have to first release the story of Teldrassil and Lordearon in order to gain the game's popularity and this helped make Sylvanas and the Horde "Evil". Three animations will be revealed before Battle for Azeroth. We'll cover a variety of people here. For instance, Jania may have an abnormal side of her. You'll see the good side of the Horde. Nor will Anduin's Lordaeron's attacks be done for justice. Frankly, it is meant to show the king's dignity. The head of the state does not represent the camp.

Sylvanas used plague on their people at Lordaeron as well as raising their dead into undeath to fight eternally
Another thing you got wrong. She didnt raise them. She used reanimation which is a spell effect of black arrow in Warcraft 3:The Frozen Throne when she appeared. You got it totally off.Sylvanas is not able to raise undeads or anyone in undeath.
THAT IS WHY SHE WANTED THE POWER OF EIYR BECAUSE SHE CAN'T!
Alleria has that blue mark that streaks through her left eye. Even with the face (in the artwork) turned away, you would still be able to see part of it.
Vareesa has no face tattoo, but she has white/silver-ish hair.
Pre-death Sylvanas doesn't have any facial markings, and had blonde hair.
Because I'm, ultra-nerdy about the high/blood elves. Especially Sylvanas... because WCIII. :D
I don't remember about Alleria in WCIII. Sometimes I finish WCII and III again, to remember the lore. But played it a couple years ago, before Legion release.
I completely forgot about the blue mark. Alleria armor is green, too. lol
...What a awesome Syl-pre-death art, anyway. XD
