Just to make a comment on PTR gold missions: I have had them show up. They were reduced, but not killed. I had one mission on my toon that was present on Live and PTR. The PTR version gave half the initial gold of the Live version (516 on PTR, 1006 on Live), BUT it still had the full Bonus gold amount of 1750.
Regarding TSM I wonder about two things. Why is WoW practically unplayable for the first 30+ seconds after login while TSM is active? This was the reason I removed it the last time.I am currently sticking with it but only because I find it slightly more usefull than annoying. That "market value", how is that calculated? It seems to be completely out of whack most of the times.Min Buyout: 558414Market Value: 446403Region Market Value Avg: 303685Region Sale Avg: 34521How can this sell for 34.5k on average but be "worth" 446k?That is a Krol Decapitator and I am not convinced that it sells for what it is "worth" according to TSM.Weathered Relic:Min Buyout: 11543Market Value: 351318Region Market Value Avg: 3955Region Sale Avg: 248So it sells for 248 Gold but is "worth" 351k?At least this can be re-listed endlessly without taking away gold.
Yup confirming Warcraft Pets is back. Looks like it was down shortly after the European GDPR went into effect but for the past few days it's back up.

"If you're new to this series or want to re-visit past posts, you can check out the previous articles right here on wowhead.com" Thank you for this link :3. I always wonder whether I've missed some, so having that tag is awesome :)."How do you deal with processing the information in gold-making content? Do you run tests of your own? Do you still learn something from this kind of content? Do you understand when something is clickbait?""there is two or three wind scales on my auction house listed at 1k each, but they stay there forever," people clearly arn't optimised to craft these items. If the raw doesn't sell you craft the tmog that they are applied to and try that way. Saying "a farm item never sells" might purely be their AH, and thats not then a problem with the video itself. Having mat farming guides on the internet is great for people like me who are trying to craft something and want a guide on how that material is best optimized to farm. I think my overall opinion of clickbait is that I am generally not looking for anyone else opinion. I dont click on a video because its xyz gold. I click on it because it has something I want. Ie, from a youtuber I think overall provides good farms, or I'm specifically looking for something that I want. I dont care about the numbers on the icon, I want the content (where to go, what to farm, whether its a steady/rare/server-hop farm, etc), how they wrap the content is less of a concern for me. I understand all realms are different, I play on Tarren Mill yet I have toons also on Silvermoon and Argent Dawn. These servers are arguably very different and I would conduct farms differently across these servers (ie, some would be clickbait then, and some would be accurate).I used to play on Oceanic realms (as I'm originally from Australia) so I would wait in the videos to hear if they said server-hop at the end of WoD and then switch to a different video if it did because of time zone differences and oceanic realm CRZ, it wasn't as easy to maintain from the experiences I had. We all "go to" a video for different reasons. If a youtuber wants to market his videos as xyz, then they are the ones making them, so its their prerogative.Great article Gumdrops, ty :).
As to Legion gold, I've made most by doing Class Hall missions on my 18 110s. I've also recently decided to sell all my Legion mats on 4 servers that have brought in a lot of gold. I also get gold from emissary chests that that I get when my characters haven't got all their champions to maxed out, or get low on ORs. That's about it. I have nearly 10m gold now.
I’m glad you brought up click-bait gold making. I have watched more of those videos than I can count, and most of them are misleading. I’ve reached two conclusions about them. One, the video is useless for earning a lot of gold because the streamers have already milked that source for their own use, and the items are no longer as valuable in the auction house. And two; you really are better off just exploring the world (of Warcraft), and find your own grind that will earn you gold.
The click bait problem and exaggerated claims are nothing new. These days it's videos, back in the day they were blogs. They hype things up for their own good, and as stated, making it public usually drops it's value on the AH. Usually, once you have enough experience in the game you know what the content of the tips will be from the start. Not to say that none of them are useful, but even when that's the case you have to have realistic expectations.
or some not legit or outdateslike i do x gold in hour creat 4x trail lvl 100 caracteri deliver q guest get 1500g visit mengi build quest get lvl 25 free lvling stone .did x bla bla i did this i abuse that i did an hour 40k gold becouse abused not ment gold doing all removed by blizzardvideos still there people watch try hoplesslyi wasnt aware some of thembut at past didnt even bothered
"I've had 2 Missions that award toys (Win the Crowd and Glittering Treasure) show up on beta, that I hadn't seen on live."Hmm - both of those have been on Live in the past, as I've even got a spare Tournament Favour to sell. Come to think of it, though, I've not seen those particular missions pop up in months and months, so it looks like they'll be fixing whatever glitch has stopped them spawning recently. Think I'll get rid of that spare Favour while it's still a rare item!
I would be surprised if Gold missions stayed in the Legion content, unless we're talking the occasional 400-900 gold WQ. I would like to point out that the great reform in Legion was targeted at passive income, and those missions weren't a thing really until Argus. Also, I have some neglected alts, so I can say with 1000% certainty - the OH tables were SOLIDLY NERFED when Argus dropped. If you don't do Argus and leave your followers at the maximum achievable cap of 910, your toon will have 1-2 AP missions every 2 days, and NO gold missions at all - across 7 such alts, I have so far seen a single 125 gold mission. This gold was given to playerbase to actually save the market - the prices were, in relation to the needs of average raider, outrageous in comparison to other expacs. So much so that I've gone to WoW version of North Korean Jutche policy - I went self-reliant, able to craft everything I needed. Over the course of Legion, I saw this turn 180 degrees though: I am now buying everything on the AH because the market is so depressed that sellers, in their zeal to undercut, are selling below the cost of mats. As a result, I just sell of my mats, and buy ready products instead, except the times when someone is blowing money to the wind trying to corner market again. In such case, I shed off my stock reserves, both as mats and ready product, undercutting mercilessly (but NEVER below the price point of mats), and making my own share for daily use.TL;DR - Blizz overdid things, consumable prices soared too high and gold became too scarce for people to feel safe spending 1k+ a flask, and they had to alleviate the issue.Of course, this is because over WoD and Legion, Blizzard dev team rotation must have been nuts and they forgot all about zone design. Back in WotLK, Cata and Pandaria, gathering in the open world was a pleasure. When I wanted to relax, I'd take my miner, or my herbalist, and fly in circles over Un'goro or Hyjal or the Valley of 4 Winds, just picking something. I could build a rough route to follow, and just tour the zone, enjoying scenery. This was totally forgotten in WoD. I remember my complete and utter shock when after 1 hour circling the Garrison zone on a land mount, I had like 20 herbs, which was pathetic compared to joint output from the Garrison. Making more alts even just to get their garden and mine outputs was the ONLY way to go.In Legion, the model is different again. Gathering is still off the table, simply because nodes are still few and far between. Instead of that, it's better to grab shoulder enchants for your profession and for bloods on another piece, and farm Falcosaurs. Once your shoulder loot bag drops, swap out for the other piece to avoid the ICD. Once your bloods drop, swap back to the other piece... and so, professions are HIGHLY tied to BoS as the master material, used to buy everything that isn't tied to a WQ (Felwort, and the green ore thingy). With mainstream market swapping to new expansion mats, the PROBLEMS of Legion economy are going away, and it would be logical for means to alleviate those problems to go the way of the Dodo, too.Tbh, I hope SOMEONE at Blizzard finally learns the lesson in Economy they've been getting hit on their skulls again and again since WoD: that the VALUE in ANY economy comes not only from rarity (ie. supply and demand) but also from two more critical factors: how the people at large perceive the price set by market (also in proportion to their incomes) and from what value people put on their time. This is why even at the darkest days of WoD the mats were STILL worth some gold and selling - even if you have 10 maxed garrisons, going to them and picking your herbs and ores was HUMAN EFFORT. Time, that had a price. Still has, actually, if you look at the AH.That said, I'd like Blizz to shift to model when it makes sense again to go out and relax doing some farming again, instead of saddling us with convoluted, unfair, rng-ridden systems like BoS, where we have zero control over the results of what we do because some idiot thinks 'only rng is fun'.
re: Youtube clickbait.
If the follower missions stayed somehow, I have 2,5k Blood of Sargeras to keep going for a few monthsIf only...
