This threat change scare is actually not even a scare. The threat reduction has been reduced down to how it was in MoP, not Vanilla. MoP didn't have issues with tank threat, and now tanks will have to do something besides Thunderclap or Blood Boil to maintain threat. Tanking was very boring in Legion, aside from high M+ keys. Charge in, Blood Boil, infinite aggro on all mobs in the area. Now you'll have to press taunt to do something besides pull. As far as gear swap, I'm on the side that the change doesn't affect 99% of the player population, and it's only for competitive M+ runs. Sure, it can be a disadvantage to classes/specs that rely so heavily on gear swapping for AoE vs Single target (think Legion boomkins), but not every class will be good at everything. That's how the game is, and how Blizzard wants the game to go. If group/guild leaders can't acknowledge that, then I question their leadership role.
As it's stated in "Tank Threat", does this mean skittish removed ?
This is the one change that will make me only do my one M+ dungeon a week for the weekly chest and then log off for the rest of the week. Can't imagine doing some of the bosses/trash packs without being able to change some gear around at higher levels, you already are "locking in" your talents setup.

It says you're able to zone out, switch gear, zone in. Forgetting to swap your fishing pole shouldn't be an issue.
Wow, the QQ fest sure shows people's dislike of more of a challenge. How I see it:a. If you can't swap anything out (i.e. they go with this plan), they will give you a timer or a warning to ensure you have on what you want for the instance before you click the stone into the pedestalb. Dungeons on + difficulties will be tuned with no gear swapping accounted forc. People will be expected to be creative in some instances (pun intended) d. Less management = less to think about in terms of this boss would be better with this piece of geare. No legendaries in BfAHappy mythic plussing.
ofc there is no competition on +15 we're talking about +25 and higher
Part of the challenge IS figuring out (and remembering to change lol) different gear sets based on boss/trash/affixes. Same goes for talents, and for specs for classes with multiple dps specs, but those have already been fixed (it's a pun). On easy keys I change nothing. On harder keys I think about everything, including what my class/spec can have on offer that others in the party don't. It doesn't take anything special to get your +15 or whatever for the max ilvl weekly chest, not if you raid. So keep M+ interesting. Different affix combos each week isn't enough to keep most M+ lovers interested, and without interest it's just a grind.
I don't like this change. But I guess with no legendaries it won't be much of an issue, maybe except trinkets?
I got into gear swapping late into the game. I love it. Except when I forget to put tank gear back on from speed gear and pull a boss. Lol. I think some 19s are biggest I've done. Mostly trying 17s down. Long as we all having fun I'm happy. Keep being able to swap us what I hope for. But if we cant. Then ya, I wont push keys.
I don't see what the big deal here is. sure, I did some gear swapping between trash and the boss but this change just makes you take a closer look at your chosen talents versus the group comp. I prefer that, bit more thought required and a bit more team play required. "But what happen pugs?" some cry. what about them? pugs are always messy, be it in M+s or raids. it's going to be messy regardless of this change "but what if I just want to play solo in a group and casually do the M+?" well...that's going to happen anyways at gear thresholdsIt's not really going to change much for the player tbh. gear swapping may have helped with time rushes, but you can work around that with talent comps. hardcore M+sers already coordinate skill/cc usage with their teams, why not talents too? you guys are freaking out over a change that isn't that big of a deal in practice. and most importantly, even if you do disagree with everything I have said....kindly don't forget that even *if* it is a nerf, it's not a nerf on you. it's an overall change for everyone. so if it is a nerf, it nerfs everyone down the same amount and, again, no overall change. it's not a personal attack on you, it's a change in the system that just involves a different level of coordination.
Ion is wrecking the game so hard that I dont think it can recover if it fails as hard as WoD.
You seriously believe Blizzard will make balanced dungeons at all keystone levels? After they were not able to fix major bugs during the whole Legion even though they promote m+ as a form of e-sport with MDI?They just make the game ONLY for plebs, but forgetting that without end-game there is nothing to push the people to play. It seems to me they listen to that 1/11normal crybabies at forums, instead of some community representatives like well-known streamers who have better oversight of what people want in the game than the devs..How could Ion say that people are not swapping gears in M+? It's timed runs! It's minmaxing to get the time! I use minimum of 4-5 gearsets per spec on every class and I regularly use those gearsets and that not even the highest pushes (I'm "only" around 25-26)
