Corruption storylines are so, so bad. It robs characters of motivation and personality. It doesn't matter whether it's naaru or old gods, it's terrible writing to have someone turn evil out of nowhere because "They were corrupted!"
So, the Naaru became Warcraft's version of the Ori in Stargate. Powerful, yet fanatical beings who promise salvation in exchange of their devotion, eventually turning them into blinded fanatics.
I don\u2019t know who this is who keeps talking about bones but they are either the Bonechewer Clan or Laughing Skull Clan. Either way I want to be best friends with them.

It's sad that I'm more curious if we will get a High Exarch skin for Yrel in HotS than I am how this scenario takes place.
It's obviously not the Naaru as a whole, otherwise Outland would be experiencing this right now, and unlike AU Draenor there's no "Alliance will never find out Yrel became the Scarlet Crusade because the portal was closed but no one tells us this in-game, and is only mentioned in one line of dialogue in the Horde quest to recruit the Mag'har" excuse.\r\rXe'ra never told the Army of the Light about A'dal, or the other naaru on Outland, and even kept secret the fact that naaru can turn dark when they're injured enough. In the main timeline, A'dal is so tolerant along with its fellow naaru that the blood elves are welcomed with open arms, and it has no qualms about the nature of void and light, understanding that both are important facets of the naaru and the universe as a whole. S'ara has the same mind-set, and even though she was previously a Void God, she does not resent the darkness, willing to work with shadow priests and the void to fight the Burning Legion. \r\rMy theory is that K'ara, who in the main timeline has either died or gone completely into a Void God, having survived being used as the Dark Star and being reborn of Light in the AU Draenor, either shares Xe'ra's extremist personality in regards to light and void, or gained that perspective after what the Shadowmoon did to it.\r\rtl;dr\rMost naaru would be appalled by this, so my theory is that the instigator is K'ara, or a sect of naaru that follows Xe'ra. Or perhaps even alternate universe Xe'ra herself. As confirmed in a developer interview, not all naaru have the same means to an end, and the void at times, is the same.
No more Botani? Damn, i hope we'd see more of them =(

The Prime Narru seem very fanatical compared to their lesser brethren.
Excellent motivation. They took completely different draenei in the Alliance, but we do not care, it's still the reason for destroying all the cities of the Alliance. As always, the Horde are sick aggressors.
So the Lightforged Draenei are basically the same but opposite version of the Fel-infused Burning Legion?Maybe the end of WoW will be about "bringing balance" to whatever Warcraft's version of The Force is. Or something.Maybe the "fight" against the Old Gods and Void Lords will likely lead to us sympathizing with the Void and seeing how they're there just to counter Light fanaticism.Or maybe it's not worth over analyzing this. :\/Also, Grom sacrificing himself...again. Is he dead...AGAIN? Come on... I wanted him to replace Sylvanas as Warchief. :(

It doesn't matter whether it's naaru or old gods, it's terrible writing to have someone turn evil out of nowhere because "They were corrupted!"\r\rHave you been paying attention to anything in WoW like at all? Everything about WoW stems from some form of corruption. And it's never from nowhere. It's always from something. In this case it's from fanatical devotion.
So Yrel does make an appearance as the fanatical High Exarch. Damn.\r\rInteresting that the allied race Mag'har are going to be refugees on Azeroth rather than having a link back to Draenor. There's that Horde theme again...\r\r...and even more interesting that they're acknowledging the Lightforged connection and the potential conflict there.
Yup. The Naaru and the Light are JUST AS BAD as the Void!\r\r"Please trust us on this, even though this was so blatantly made up on the spot that we need to desperately show WHY that might be the case instead of making any other sort of story."\r\rThat's what this feels like. Blizzard needs to have an opposite side to the VOID of all things and they make the Light and the Naa'ru the exact same thing! Not just that but they're making the Draenei out to be a bunch of wanna be Scarlet Crusaders and making the orcs out to be the victims! It's the exact same story, only they switched which race went after the other. I'm sorry, wasn't it Grommash the one who lead an entire war on the Draenei and tried to conquer Azeroth with his son or something? It's hard to be feel bad for them when they deserve it.\r\rIt wouldn't be so bad if the Naaru were like this before but aside from literally one throw-away line from Velen and Xe'ra, there's no other example of the Naaru being total crazies.

It doesn't matter whether it's naaru or old gods, it's terrible writing to have someone turn evil out of nowhere because "They were corrupted!"\r\rWe only hear from the orcs perspective. Maybe the lightforged are justified. Like they are trying to stop the orcs from warring with others, or maybe they are trying to pacify the savage orcs. Japanese samurai killed themselves when they dishonored their family. Even if they didn't really do anything wrong. By modern standards being forced to kill yourself to regain honor is barbaric.
This is actually pretty awesome, I like the way they are incorporating fanaticism into the Light. I personally don't see it as characters being corrupted, suddenly becoming evil out of nowhere but rather they are so blinded by the light and their devotion to it that they don't see that forcing people to convert is the wrong way of bringing in races under one banner and their actions will only get worse as time goes by. I'd like for us to go back to Draenor someday, loved the World but disliked how the Expansion played out.
Excellent motivation. They took completely different draenei in the Alliance, but we do not care, it's still the reason for destroying all the cities of the Alliance. As always, the Horde are sick aggressors.\r\rIt's a WAY better reason than what they gave Syl. At least it's understandable; your allies devoting themselves deeper into something that winds up twisting them. It makes sense she'd have a prejudice towards members of the alliance and want to work against them out of fear of what they will do to Azeroth too.

It doesn't matter whether it's naaru or old gods, it's terrible writing to have someone turn evil out of nowhere because "They were corrupted!"\r\ri mean you dont know what you are talking about obviously.\r\rits like saying "dragon storyies are bad, its bad writing for the problem to be a Dragon is terrorizing the countryside"\r\rits fantasy genre, in fantasy you have problems like dragons, magic and elder gods.\r\rIn the real world we dont have to worry about beings older than existence coming down in a ray of blood or sunshine and forcing people to do bad things,\r\rand so we explore such possibilities in fantasy.\r\rTo often people who've never written anything in their lives comment on 'bad writing", this is why most comments in any comment section are seen as less than worthless.\r\ryou have no credentials, you dont know what a good story is, and your opinion is less than objective.
I can't imagine this lightbound son of Hellscream is Garrosh, as his mother from the original timeline died before WOD, plus, since when did Garrosh care about the light? \r.\r\rSince even if it is Garrosh, his background would be different.

It's more interesting to see what happens if you go too far with it and how "Bringing the light to the universe" can become just as bad as the void.
