Those Bloodvine Lenses will be mine!
collectors of old recipes must be excited... and rep grind lovers.
This would be so nice of them to do!Back in 2011 or so, I decided I wanted to collect every formula/pattern for enchanting and tailoring. I was on a roll, and spent the better part of a year farming all the old raids every week for drops, and checking the AH daily to pick up anything I might not have. After a ton of work, I was finally left with only a small handful to collect, all from Zandalar rep which had since been removed. I did play back then, but hadn't yet decided that I was gonna want to be a completionist with anything. The worst part was that I even HAD the required rep (Honored) to get what I needed, but since the vendors were no longer in the game there was nothing I could do.I went out on a limb and sent a ticket to Blizzard. I explained the whole situation, pointed out that I even had the rep, and hoped for the best. A couple days later, I was greeted by in-game mail with a non-automated message reply explaining how the GM was also a collector, and has had something almost identical happen to them as well. Not only did they send me all the formulas and patterns, but also a handful of the (unobtainable) mojos required to craft them.I was blown away (and still am). I miss those old GM convos where they would like RP and stuff haha.
Always good to see old removed/lost crafting recipes being "returned" to the game in some way. There's still a few cooking recipes that were lost during the Cataclysm revamp that I'd like to see get restored as well.As for the comments about the old ZG raid possibly making a return as well, I'd love to see that, especially if both the original ZG Tiger and Raptor mounts become available once more! I have both the new ZG Tiger and Raptor mounts from the Cata version, but, like the "new" ZA Bear mount, they just don't have the same appeal that the original mounts have!
I bet the next thing they recycle will be the lvl 60 naxx frost reistance gear ... way to be creative bliz. first they necro the faction (again) and now they necro the rewards
Just imagine zul gurub and being able to loot the old zulian mounts... or some recolor.. *-* ..
Funny you say that I had some Bat skin / leather I found about six months ago on a bank alt I never touched much. I sold it lolAlso I am already exalted with them on my Night Elf when I was farming the tiger mount pre cata. I still have some of the rep items from it as well just for keep sakes.
I have one sitting in my bank :)
I've got loads of the primal bat leather in the bank. Same with the coins, fetishes, etc
Timewalking Original ZG
still heaps of the leather available, with recipe return the demand will go up ofcourse but it sure they'll re-introduce a supply.
This could be foreshadowing something much cooler. Since they're working on Vanilla and its assets, they could port the Vanilla assets into the retail, and use Zidormi, to travel back in time before the cataclysm, to be able to do the dungeons / old outdoor content, as it was many years ago. They could also do this for the original Naxxramas - which would be awesome. On the other hand, you would have those "try-hards" that say: "oh, I worked hard for those material, they don't exist anymore. Why should other people be allowed to get material no longer available - thats what makes me unique. That is a bad idea Blizz!", but seriously, ignore those types of people. I would rather have every item accessible from vanilla and TBC, rather than 0.1% obtaining those items, and feeling "special".To extend it further, you could have an option in the character-create screen if you want to quest before the Cataclysm occurred, or after the Cataclysm occurred - giving everyone the best of both worlds.
the classic zul gurub mounts are obtainable from the black market auction house. This month i saw them being sold:zulian tiger: 9,999,999 goldthe raptor: 5,3 mil.Although i admit it is a steep price, it is not impossible, it "just" takes some effort.
