For some reason this makes me sad, seeing pics of the great tree burning... I always like the imagery of this area.
Why can't we just have Malfurion killed already? -.-The character is way too boring since like warcraft 3 and in Legion he went almost Sylvanas level of stupid choices that lead to a tragedy, and still nothing happened to him! Please please please get rid of these two morons and put at least the Shadowsongs in charge. Give night elves a chance to stop being a sad joke.
I hate this, I hate this beyond words, I hate everything about this, I hate everyone involved with it, this is the worst ----ing thing to be done for the most unreservedly shallow reasons in the history of the World of Warcraft AND most amusingly of all there's a persistent thread of conspiracy that it might have been a "false flag" by the alliance or the night elves or the dragon aspects or was done by a single renegade faction within the Forsaken -HEY REMEMBER WHEN THE NIGHT ELVES HAD THEIR OWN ARMY LIKE IN WARCRAFT 3 CUZ BLIZZ DON'T- because of there is in this "post factual world" and it's basically the rape and desecration of what's probably -start looking up what's both the most popular and common subject of fan art; you'l celebrate two birthdays before you see all of it- for reasons no more noble than Blizz panicking over declining subscription numbers.I wish I didn't care. I wish I had anything like that kind of attachment to anything else. I wish this was just some "thing" happening that I was oblivious to like friends trying to explain the differences in MLP's seasons to me.But that's not how it is and I hate this so much it makes me feel old and tired. It's so perfectly cynical. It's so elegantly self-destructive. It's so purely unfair. It's just there because people care, and I hate that most of all.
Oh, and as this has been insinuated I'll point out explicitly: in the larger picture outside the game this is about displacing the nelves and that means they're all going. So Darkshore, Ashenvale, Feralas, possibly Mount Hyjal, Moonglade -funny story if you count up the actual number of nelf strongholds and major population centers on Kalimdor there are damn few- but they're toast, baby. It's a red tide sweeping the purple elves into the sea and everything north of the Barrens DMZ is going to burn. Teldrassil will be the largest loss, but not the only one.Naw, not a "genocide" at all!
And I was just doing the Stormsong zone and the Horde invasion of it. Guess what I've found ? ''Warchief's Orders'' - Signed by the Dark Lady herself. ' Commander, take the valley. Burn the towns. No survivors. All shall serve me, in the end. ' Soo she went beyond Garrosh 2.0. She is literally Lich Queen 2.0. I mean Lich King said the SAME THING WORD FOR WORD. '' In the end, they will all serve me '' and we KILLED HIM FOR IT. But now because it is Sylvanas, it is ok ?
Oh, here's an easy test for anyone in the Horde who'd like to understand themselves: when Ysera was corrupted and murdered, do you feel satisfaction? Did you mourn the loss of the Matriarch of the Green Dragonflight, the heart of the Dream that feeds all that grows and blooms on Azeroth, that welcomes Troll and Tauren alike into the boughs of life itself?Or did you have grim chuckle at getting to see a big powerful "Night Elf" die? Was that tragic, or was it thrilling? When you started questing around Val'Sharah did you resent it's verdant tranquility? Does seeing the perpetual devasation of the Temple of Elune feel like justice coming to a bunch of haughty elves who are just so lazy that they want to lounge around in their forests instead of building real power -"that's what you get for being complacent and weak"?I'm not going to say "if you answered yes to X or Y you are a Z person" because that isn't the point. Both the questions and answers alike are for you; contemplate or dismiss them as you need. But me?I miss Vol'jin. I liked the hard old bastard. I liked him standing up to Garrosh. I liked the dirty, cunning look he shot Varian at the conclusion to the Siege of Orgrimmar. That's a warchief who knows that his life belongs to his Horde, and who relishes the chance to defend it.Vol'jin understood that command is service and that service is an honor without equal and a burden without compare; that "honor" wasn't a body count or a the glory of flag planted among the dead and dying of a hated enemy but instead doing what was truly in the best interest of the future of his peoples whether green or brown, living or dead.Sylvanas thinks command is an entitlement, that honor is a straightjacket worn by the credulous and discarded only by the traitor. Sylvanas knows that the Horde belongs to her because as she's seen from Thrall to Garrosh to Vol'jin when the Warchief speaks the Horde marches. Their lives are fresh arrows in her rotten quiver and she exists to see them feathering the throats of anyone who refuses the primacy of the dead. And Sylvanas aches to see Val'Sharah drowned in an ocean of fetid slime. Perhaps from high above and from the back of a reanimated Ysera? Frost Wyrms are so cliche'd; a Plague Wyrm is the stuff of true might and while that's highly unlikely who knows what's possible during the Battle for Azeroth? She's getting an expansion of her eternal war on life itself after all. Maybe she'll get to chance to desecrate the Avatar of the Dream as well? Put a few shots into distant, pristine Elune? What do you think -does that sound like fun?
CAN'T BELIEVE I AM POSTING THIS LINE AGAIN FOR THE 2ND TIME IN MY LIFE NOT MY WARCHIEF Not Garrosh, Not Sylvannas. They can both burn in hell. Thrall and Volgin sought peace. Why can't we have this!
