For us Mistweavers, the changes are quite interesting, implementing MoP/WoD style with Legion. That Uplift playstyle was my favorite and the reason why I had to put my Mistweaver on break (I had been playing her since the first week of MoP). However, this might be enough to pull me out of the dark and pick her up again. She never stopped being my main character, as she is the core of my group of characters. I did play her casually, but she never stepped into a Legion raid. Getting back to this wonderful conversation:• I'm curious to see how mana regen will play out early on, well as later on. • Our statue needs reworking: additional support added, pushing improvements toward small group content (maybe they'll add Breath of Yu'lon effect).• I wonder how Fistweaving will turn out, though I assume it will stay the same as Legion with minor improvements.• Essence Font is on my radar, too, to see how it turns out.All-in-all, looking over everything they're doing right now and if they continue on this path, there wont be Mana Tea stacks to hinder us and no Chi generation. This will hasten the Uplift playstyle, which I think is the right direction. Ideally, RM's spread speed needs to be looked into. For Chi generation, I never minded it, but trading that in for the cast time on Vivify (WoD Uplift), will be a huge improvement. RM was heavily gated at the start of WoD until Hellfire Citadel's release (improved playstyle with the Hellfire Citadel 2/4 piece setup) - this includes RM's spread speed, Chi Generation, personal time consulting, and Uplift's cast time. The lack of healing RM did never helped either, even though Uplift was powerful in certain situations. Whilst fun, it did take some intelligence to push the specialization to the highest possibilities.
Monks in PVP if you know to play are really good. So i'm ok with those changes.
Monks were only good in MoP. After that they killed the class. The one in Legion is already a neutered mess of a once fun class. They even changed the was they hold their staff to the same as every other class, even though they wanted "class identity" and all that *!@#. Now you can't even tell if thats a druid or a monk by looking at it. Spinning crane kick with no chi requirements, that was the fun, and Guard and everything else they removed. Bfa will just make it more boring.than its already is.
Would love to see an update to these sometime soon if possible. I'm particularly interested in Brewmaster with the Guard addition and other balancing changes.
