Sounds like they're all coming out worse for the wear.

I think its gonna be fun to relearn things after Artifact things are gone.\rProbably still staying Assassin though, worked hard for that dagger skin.
Thanks for this! Been waiting to see thoughts on rogues.\r\rOverall\rWith the loss of artifact weapons, Outlaw is losing its most impactful cooldown Blade Rush. Losing Blade Rush means we have a less bursty playstyle with no cooldown that significantly changes the way we generate our combo points. The loss of most of our other traits will not really be felt as we have received changes within the class to compensate for their removal\r\rIs the "overall loss" for outlaw meant to be Curse of the Dreadblades and not blade rush?
I wish t4nn3r was asked to give his opinion about rogues in BFA, he is one of the BEST rogue resource especially regarding rogues in dungeons. He arguably the LEAD mythic+ sub theorycrafter.
just got an e-mail from blizzard and i am joining the alpha community
These changes to all 3 specs make rogues sound worse than ever. All the fun parts are being removed or put on long (or longer) cooldowns. We'll be basically autoattacking for most of the time.\r\rSeriously, CoS has had its CD increased every expansion since Cata.

Glad I don't main a rogue. Also, I know it's from an artifact, but I really hope sub rogues get to keep that ability to take no falling damage.
I just started a rogue alt and was really enjoying the classic part and from what I read it sounds like it will be a lot more like classic level experience because of the missing artifact and traits. \rRogue while leveling plays slow in energy management and not as fast as it looks on endgame. \rI must say that I do like it.
Yeah I hope they keep reworking Outlaw and Sub... I think that this article really underline some the major flaws of those two spec (especially sub). Nightblade, Death from Above, and Shadow blades really need to see some rework\/improvement. On Outlaw side Roll the bones need some serious improvement on consistency to make it feel ok. I like the rng in the spec with it but since the beginning it has just been too much. Either you get that lucky 6 and you feel godlike, or you get one or two average rolls and you might need to reroll in order to get that True Bearing buff. I like what they're doing with blade flurry and the 100 talents row, although I must agree it feels underwhelming to have to chose between two talents with good aoe-synergy (though one definitely looks better than the other) and one just-aoe talent.
Like all other classes, looks like we're just losing too much and nothing is replacing it, leading to boring gameplay up to and including 120.

I've mained Rogue for a long time and I have a lot of feelings about them but all my feedback about how the class has gone wrong can be boiled down to a single thing, and that thing is that we have too many abilities that are absolutely vital for our class to function in our talent trees. Other classes don't have to go through this to any comparable degree and function perfectly fine without most of their talents, just as less powerful versions of the class. Assassination is the only Rogue spec that has mildly started to move away from this with talents like Master Assassin and Iron Wire. These are two talents that make the abilities we already have better. They're not talents that absolutely don't belong in talent trees like Slice and Dice or Dirty Tricks. We shouldn't be building our own class with our talents, the class should already be built and we should choose what to focus on such as the Assassination Poison\/Bleed choice. Outlaw should be the same with the RTB or SnD choice instead of forcing us to waste a talent on one of our finishers. It's like having Rupture as a talent in the Assassination tree. If you ever wondered what exactly is wrong with Rogue gameplay, it's probably our poor talent trees to blame because they practically don't exist since most talent choices are just abilities that should be baseline in the first place that we have no choice but to take.

Subtlety Rogues, be prepared to take falling damage again; enjoy this trait on live while you still can."\r\rBad times for us sub rogues :-(
Playing my main sub rogue from 20-98 without artifact was extremely boring... With artifact everything went back to normal\r\rCurrent Alpha Sub rogue needs more energy generation or something to do energyless during energy pooling.
gonna MAJORLY miss Curse of the Dreadblades and Greed... Outlaw is losing a lot of damage and generation in general... worried about rogues, i dont think any of our specs is getting fairly compensated for losing artifacts unfortunately
