Already boosting players through old content dungeons. Always 1 customer so he gains full xp, using bear tartare, full mastery gear with extra speed on my DH. Hellfire Ramparts (the easiest one to level from 60-80) takes 2:15 minutes per run. Customer pays 1k gold per run (in the end of the 10 runs). Everyday I have close to 10 people to boost, getting 100k every day just from this "new" market. People don't like the new leveling method. I'm always asking my customers why they don't want to quest. Every single one of them has the loremaster achievement and 40% of the players have been playing since TBC and a few others don't have the time to wait in dungeon queue for 1 hour and 19 minutes for a random cataclysm dungeon (1 and 19? Seriously?). The way I see it, this new leveling is P2W in both scenarios. Buy character boost with $ or sell tokens to get boosted. Hopefully, Blizzard will change this and make it faster to level up. I mean, we do have to bypass 120 levels...
Stratholme main gate is my go-to for leveling alts. Lots of trash, and a pretty straight-forward run. Then, The Botanica. It has an exit at the end so you don’t have to back-track through.
The new leveling method is great in itself, but it's just too slow right now, it takes more than 3 days ( of play time ! ) in order to up from 20 to 110, it's way too much. Several solutions would be : - Having access to "improved mouvements" right away ( if you have the golds ) : Can buy 100% ground mount at 20 and all 3 flight speeds at lvl 60. ( partial solution but might make it feels less slow )- Reduce the amount of life of mobs ( not too much, to make it feel more "fluid" )- Add a new heirloom ( a ring ) that grant (50-100)% increase xp. With that, all player that want to take their time will just have to skip it and other will still have 1-2 days of play time to do, which seem to me a reasonable price to pay for a transmog. - Or change the way the heritage armor are gain. I mean they have to be "earned" yes, but having to spend days or "torture" ( for some player ) seems a little bit exagerated. They are some player that do ONLY care about the transmogs, yes I know it's not "mandatory" but I'm sure many player will want them without caring for the leveling in itself, so you will have them wanting to change / ease the level experience. In the end, everyone will loose, players that want it slow and rewarding like now will risk to see it made more fast and quick after complains and player seeking only the transmog will still have long days of leveling to do since Blizzard won't cut too much on they new method. But I guess it will end like always : I'm right you are wrong, I like it that way ( either quick or slow ) so everyone should do the same or their are idiots ...Maybe a nice solution would be : The unlocking quest for allied races, will give you a potion BoA ( And only one by account ) that give +100% - 200% xp until lvl 100 or 110 on one toon of this allied race. So people that do not want the boost can just store it if later they want to level an other toons of this race and players that want to unlock the heritage armor will have a resonable leveling time needed, but only once.
I have been leveling my characters like that for free for a very long time. (I have 3 accounts so i just log into 2 at a time, free)
API needs to hurry up and get fixed! my realm is calling it quits! lmao!
Very interesting article , that was a good read .
The whole purpose of getting heritage armor is leveling naturally. Its nothing special if everyone just gets it "for free" with a potion that makes you level to 110 in 3 hours. Stop complaining. The leveling experience is way better now and there really isent nothing to complain about. If you can spend 2 days leveling a char so you can be proud of the heritage armor then you just shouldnt get the heritage armor.
These leveling dungeon replies are great. Reminds me of Diablo 2 power leveling. 1-15 Trist runs, 15-20 tombs. 20-25 cows, 25-50 Baal, NM rush, NM Baal 50-70, Hell rush, hell Baal 70 +
