I hope this winds up as more of a success than the in game voice chat. It's going to be hard for Blizzard to compete with more nimble development teams like Discord who are specialized in this sort of thing and can implement features and patch on much shorter development cycles.
I have to wonder how Blizzard is going to surface Groups inside of the game clients. With the additions of some calendaring and a bank, we could be looking at the future cross-server 'guilds'

I don't use Discord, or even open it, unless a group I join demands it. I use Battle.net voice because I like not having redundant apps open simultaneously. This will just add features from other apps and make it easier for me. Also, seems like a lot of features that could make cross-server guilds and friend groups easier to keep connected and managed.
