Are the items from the same pool as the nethershard items?
All I hear is "Too much content REEEE".But on a more serious note, story-wise going to Argus at this point is the only thing that makes sense. Comparing Argus to Tanaan isn't a fair comparison, as WoD was a failed expansion that Blizzard themselves have admitted. Possibly one of the greatest uniting factors of the Argus patch that I can think of is that the whole time you are on an alien world, you can still SEE Azeroth, it's almost like we aren't even leaving at all.Blizzard have already hit this patch perfectly, I think they knew that from the moment they scrapped Thal'Dranath with Argus in mind. Having another Tanaan would serve nothing, as Broken Isles is already far too close to being another Tanaan and it wasn't even that great.
Yay, another currency to grind while older currencies become 100% obsolete in 1 patch cycle. Good work Blizzard. I want to know a few details though: Do they drop ToS gear? If so, can they drop tier? Do they have a chance to drop the new legendaries? Does "baseline 880" mean Arcanocrystal goodness? Does this gear include those trash 2-stat trinkets?
Timeless Isle was a lot more interwoven into the story than Tanaan. TI was the missing story component of Emperor Shao'how or w/e his name was, we got to see him and got a little more lore insight into the August Celestials. There was practically no real story progression in Tanaan, not to mention Tanaan was supposed to be in-game at launch, had it been we might of had better story there. I wouldn't call WoD a "failed" expansion, ya, it failed to deliver on content, but as a whole, how did it fail, lots of people still played through it, lots of people were satisfied with the raiding. It just overall lacked level cap content, leveling was great, art & music were great, and story was ok, I think Alliance got better story than horde side, with AU Velen and Yriel. Lastly, of course people can have opinions, but that doesn't mean they can't be stupid or ridiculous opinions. Again, Ion has said he did not feel Argus warranted an entire XP to itself, you can see in 7.3 its kinda like Outland, a broken world. Speaking of Outland and back to WoD quickly, I had always wanted to see what Outland looked like before it became Outland.Aside from pickin apart people who don't understand why 7.3 is Argus, I myself am looking forward to it.But how can you call it a "broken effort of a patch" when it has more content than any other patch ever? That means its the most amount of effort ever put in a patch, especially visible effort, in the way of completely new art assets and models, 3 whole zones! , another raid and another dungeon. One doesn't buy a Ferrari and complain the engine is broken cause its too fast.
Does it really matter if all of sudden there is a new island with a patch or if it's a little new world with a map of its own? Not referring to the broken shore but previous expacs and their patches with new zones. Also, I'd rather see Argus as a patch if it hadn't enough content to justify a whole expansion.
Not that it matters in the scope of things, but I'm chiming in for team 'glad that Argus is a patch instead of an expansion'... was hoping that the next expansion would be something like "Azeroth got reshaped by the Titan machines while we were all off world fighting, now everything is one big continent and reset to default settings".. something BIG, like bigger than Cata big...
Nice to know, now that I have a ton of Nethershards on multiple toons...went to upgrade all my alts today to find I can't spend them anymore. WTF? Thanks, Blizz.
