It seems to me that this is primarily focused for tanks, even thought they specifically said that it wasn't. When it comes to most other classes it is not so simple to draw the lines on what is dps gear or maybe, say healer? Since spirit now = hit for any class that has a healing spec they cannot say that spirit is primarily for healing, which used to be the case. Hit auto goes to dps, spirit is divided up between the two. I feel that if one role is losing on this, it has to be the healers. And since they have not made it able to look at talents:Mail spirit= All shamans Mail w/ int and hit narrows it down to Ele shamans (enh could roll, but why would they want to?)Leather spirit= all druids leather + int+ hit = auto boomkinCloth spirit= all preists and if it has hit it is divided into the three cloth classes anyway. The healer that comes out on top? The paladin. No other class can wear plate and needs intellect. WTG! So, if you want to make 100% sure to get all healer gear that drops, role a Paladin; 'cause everyone else is kinda screwed (excluding int shields)So here is my question/.... dodge/parry = innately tank, hit = innately dps (tank if evasion is high enough, but it would probably have dodge or parry too), and now that there is no stat that is innately healer, how are they going to fix this imbalance?
I'm just hoping that more gear will now become baseline unique. That will make it fair for those DPS looking to build a tanking off-set when the tank doesn't need. You know there are those out there who would need just to be a jerkoff and vice versa with healing gear and a tank looking for dps gear.

I would like to bring it to your attention that Spriest, Boomkins, and ele shammies due to a talent in their tree, have a spirit to hit conversion. That means that for them every piont of spirit equals a point of hit. So lets say there is a piece of gear that drops has haste and spirit on it, for those classes its the same as if it had haste and hit. There is no such thing as 'healing gear" Slamdnkatron6 hr 35 min ago (Patch 4.2.2)Report | Quote | ReplyLoving the changes to the loot system, that should have been put in place at the beginning of Cataclysm. I don't get mad at video games, but it's still pretty discouraging when you've been running dungeons to get a specific piece of loot and some plate DPS yanks a tank piece out from under you, or an idiot DPS caster needs on a piece of spirit gear.Pretty underwhelming new pets, though. Disappointing that a nifty mount is from the TCG, too.
