WoD Alpha: Rare Spawns, Exclusive Glyphs, New Spell Effects, Quest Rewards

Our Warlords of Draenor Alpha coverage continues! We've got some info on questing, rare spawns, exclusive glyphs, new spell effects, Flaskataur, and puppies.

Questing
When questing, you now have a small chance for your reward to be a rare or epic version instead. When this happens, you'll get a special loot toast (similar to what you see when you win something via a bonus roll).
Rare items are +5 ilvls higher and epic items are +10 levels higher than the base item. For example, the rare version of
Balestra da Caccia dei Lupi Bianchi
was ilvl 515 and the epic version would be 520.
We also found some adorable puppies while questing! You can even assist one,

, for the quest series

New Spell Effects
We'll be doing a series of new spell effects for classes, here's the initial batch.

Rare Spawns
There is a new type of rare spawn in Warlords of Draenor. These rare spawns are elite when you first kill them, with a silver nameplate, but then are normal to you when they respawn.
These rares have been dropping loot like
Abito Insanguinato del Bramasangue

Lingua Corrosiva di Reeg'ak

Occhio Maligno di Gruuk

Brache Foderate di Pelliccia di Grutush
.
Rare spawns like

also have corresponding internal Vignettes like

Exclusive Glyphs
In the process of checking out new spell animations, we noticed some improvements to glyphs.
There is a new type of glyph behavior in Warlords of Draenor--Exclusive. This means that glyphs that modify the same ability can't be used at the same time.
Glyph tooltips now state which glyphs you won't be able to use if you select one. Here on Wowhead, the
Warlords of Draenor Talent Calculator
hides exclusive glyphs when you have one selected.
Flaskataur
We found
Fiascatauro RI, Esq.
in Orgrimmar selling the
Warlords Season 1
gear, but he crashes the game when you interact with him.
It also looks like we'll be getting a
Pet Battletaur
to make pet leveling easier on the Alpha, courtesy of
TheCrafticus
on Twitter. He will sell
Pietra Evolutiva Rara
and another stone that grants experience.
