A new Battle for Azeroth dungeon – Siege of Boralus - is now available for testing on the Beta. This dungeon is only available on Mythic difficulty. In this thread, we'd like to gather as much of your feedback as possible regarding the new dungeon, once you've had a chance to run it.

Lore Spoilers.

The Siege of Boralus dungeon covers an attack by Lady Ashvane, in league with Azshara and the Freehold pirates. After her scheme to force Katherine Proudmoore to resign was foiled, she escaped and now has returned to attack the city. The Horde have also taken advantage of the opportunity to launch an attack as well. Learn more in this post.

In King's Rest, we try to stop Zul's plan to bend the might of the deceased Zandalari kings to his will, similar to his attempt at resurrecting and controlling the Thunder King in MIsts of Pandaria. The first king, Dazar, is resurrected by Zul against his will. Learn more about Zul's thirst for power here.

Overview: Chopper Redhook fixates on a random enemy and attempts to catch them with his [Meat Hook]. The longer Chopper chases enemies, the faster he gets with [Boiling Rage].
As the fight progresses, Irontide forces engage the party while the area is bombarded by a continual [Cannon Barrage].
[Heavy Ordinance] appears during the barrage, and unless it is detonated before time expires it will explode and damage the party.

Damage Dealers:
Kill Irontide forces.
When not the target of [On the Hook], damage the boss.
Healers:
Irontide Powdershots inflict damage to everyone in the party.
If [Heavy Ordinance] explodes it does massive damage to the party.
Tanks:
Avoid being in melee range with Chopper Redhook due to [Heavy Hitter].
Face Irontide Cleaver's [Heavy Slash] away from the party.
Run over [Heavy Ordinance] to prevent them from damaging the party.

Heavy Hitter: A pirate powerhouse whose movement speed is reduced by 75%. Additionally, his melee attacks cause knockback.
On the Hook: Turns all his anger towards one enemy and fixates on them.
Meat Hook: Hurls a hook at his current target that will catch the first enemy in front of the boss and inflicts 25 Physical damage and pulls the target to the boss. (Normal)
Meat Hook: Hurls a hook at his current target that will catch the first enemy in front of the boss and inflicts 25 Physical damage, pulls the target to the boss and stuns them for 6 sec. (Heroic)
Gore Crash: Smashes the ground, inflicting 59 Physical damage and knocking back enemies within 10 yards and 29 Physical damage to everyone.
Cannon Barrage: Cannons barrage the area inflicting 32 Fire damage to enemies within the area, and stuns them for 10 sec.

Heavy Ordinance: Heavy Ordinance Inflicts 32 Fire damage to all nearby enemies on impact and knocks them back.
Walking over this ordinance detonates it, inflicting 32 Fire damage to the target and knocking them back.
Leading the boss over into these bombs inflicts 32 Fire damage and stuns him for 6 sec.
If the ordinance is not detonated before its time expires, it explodes and inflicts 37 Fire damage to the party.

Boiling Rage: Increases his movement speed by 5% every 2 sec.
Leading the boss over Heavy Ordinance removes this buff for a short time. (Heroic)
Irontide Cleaver: A Irontide bruiser with a heavy melee attack.

Heavy Slash: A cresting wave of destruction surges over enemies in a line in front of the caster, dealing 29 Physical damage and stunning them for 6 sec.

Irontide Powdershot: An Irontide marksman capable of inflicting damage to the party.

Molten Slug: Shoots at a random enemy, inflicting 15 Fire damage.

Sergeant Bainbridge

Sergeant Bainbridge is a devout officer that vehemently enforces the will of the Kul Tiran church. Believing that his faith places him above all others, Bainbridge is quick to send those who oppose him to the noose.

Heroic

Overview: Sergeant Bainbridge fixates on a random enemy and attempts to catch them with his [Hangman's Noose].
As the fight progresses, Kul Tiran forces engage the party while the area is bombarded by a continual [Cannon Barrage].

Damage Dealers:
Kill Kul Tiran forces.
When not the target of [Iron Gaze], damage the boss.
Healers:
Kul Tiran Footmen inflict damage to everyone in the party.
Tanks:
Avoid being in melee range with Sergeant Bainbridge due to [Heavy Hitter].
Face Kul Tiran Vanguard's [Heavy Slash] away from the party.

Heavy Hitter: A pirate powerhouse whose movement speed is reduced by 75%. Additionally, his melee attacks cause knockback.
Iron Gaze: Turns all his anger towards one enemy and fixates on them.
Hangman's Noose: Hurls a rope at the current target, then pulls them to his location. (Normal)
Hangman's Noose: Hurls a rope at the current target, preventing them from using spells or abilities and inflicts 2 Physical damage every 0.3 sec while pulling them towards the boss. (Heroic)
Steel Tempest: Smashes the ground, inflicting 29 Physical damage and knocking back enemies within 10 yards and 15 Physical damage to everyone.
Cannon Barrage: Cannons barrage the area inflicting 32 Fire damage to enemies within the area, and stuns them for 10 sec. (Normal)
Cannon Barrage: The blast leaves burning pitch on the ground, inflicting 2 Fire damage every 1 sec to enemies within the area. (Heroic)
Boiling Rage: Increases his movement speed by 5% every 2 sec.
Leading the boss over Heavy Ordinance removes this buff for a short time. (Heroic)
Kul Tiran Vanguard

Heavy Slash: A cresting wave of destruction surges over enemies in a line in front of the caster, dealing 29 Physical damage and stunning them for 6 sec.

Kul Tiran Footman

Molten Slug: Shoots at a random enemy, inflicting 15 Fire damage.

Kul Tiran Grappleshot (Heroic)

Molten Slug: Shoots at a random enemy, inflicting 15 Fire damage.
Grappling Shot: Shoots at the current enemy being chased by the boss, inflicting 32 Fire damage and rooting them for 6 sec.

Dread Captain Lockwood

Dread Captain Lockwood commands a host of Azerite artillery. Currently her cannons are trained on Boralus, and will reduce the city to ashes unless she is stopped.

Normal

Heroic

Overview: Dread Captain Lockwood continually retreats from the players and assaults them with [Gut Shot]. Once her energy bar is filled, she retreats to her ship and her crew assaults the party while the area is constantly bombarded by [Blast].
[Unstable Ordinance] must be used to bombard Captain Lockwood's ship and return her to the battlefield.

Damage Dealers:
Kill Ashvane forces.
Pickup [Unstable Ordinance] and use it to damage the ship.
Healers:
[Gut Shot] continually damages random party members.
Tanks:
Face Ashvane Deckhand's [Crimson Swipe] away from the party.
Avoid [Cleat the Deck] to stay in melee combat with the boss.

Bounding Retreat: Leaps away from melee combat.
Clear the Deck: Sends the targets in a cone in front of the caster flying, inflicting 37 Physical damage on impact and knocking them back.
Gut Shot: When not being melee attacked, shoots at random enemies inflicting 15 Physical damage on impact and an additional 13 Physical damage every 2 sec for 8 sec.
Withdraw: At full energy, the boss withdraws back to her ship.
Dread Volley: Inflicts 49 Fire damage to all nearby enemies.
Ashvane Deckhand: An Ashvane fighter with a melee cone attack.

Crimson Swipe: Inflicts 22 Physical damage to enemies in a cone in front of the caster.

Ashvane Cannoneer: A heavy Ashvane soldier that harasses enemies with their cannon.

Broadside: Fires a cannon that inflicts 37 Fire damage to all enemies caught in the path.
Unstable Ordinance: Knocks back all nearby enemies and leaves behind unstable ordinance.
Carrying unstable ordinance reduces your movement speed by 100% for 10 sec. Damage inflicted while carrying this explosive causes you to drop the ordinance.
If the ordinance is dropped or the aura expires, 29 Fire damage is inflicted to the party.

Hadal Darkfathom

Hadal Darkfathom is an ancient sea giant called from the depths to unleash his fury on Boralus. Using his powerful strength he crushes buildings, statues and civilians alike.

Normal

Heroic

Overview: Hadal Darkfathom causes water eruptions at random enemy destinations with [Break Water]. These eruption form brine pools throughout the area.
When at full energy, Hadal hurls unleashes a [Tidal Surge].

Damage Dealers:
Avoid [Break Water].
Healers:
[Break Water] inflicts damage to everyone.
Tanks:
Avoid [Break Water].

Crashing Tide: A cresting wave of water surges over enemies in a line in front of the caster, dealing 64 Nature damage. (Normal)
Crashing Tide: A cresting wave of water surges over enemies in a line in front of the caster, dealing 15 Nature damage.
Also leaves brine pools at the destinations that continue to inflict 15 Nature damage every 1 to enemies within them. (Heroic)
Break Water: Roiling water erupts under random enemy destinations, inflicting 29 Nature damage to enemies within 5 yards and knocks them into the air as well as inflicting 8 Nature damage to everyone.
This ability also leaves brine pools at the destinations that continue to inflict 15 Nature damage every 1 to enemies within them.
Tidal Surge: At full energy, conjures a wall of water that surges across the space, inflicting 25 Frost damage to all enemies caught in the wave.

Viq'Goth

Summoned from the depths by Lady Ashvane, Viq'Goth has devastated the harbor. Capable of pulling entire galleons to the crushing depths, this leviathan must be defeated before the Kul Tiran fleet is destroyed.

Normal

Heroic

Overview: Cannoneers need to be rescued from the wreckage to fix broken cannons. Once repaired, these cannons can be turned on Viq'Goth to inflict massive damage.
Viq'Goth uses [Call of the Deep] to assault the fight space and uses [Putrid Waters] to inflict damage to random members of the party.

Damage Dealers:
Defeat the Gripping Terror so it releases the Cannoneer.
Healers:
[Putrid Waters] inflicts damage to random party members.
Tanks:
Melee attack Demolishing Terrors to prevent them from using [Hull Cracker].

Putrid Waters: Spits putrid water at random enemies that inflicts 14 Frost damage on impact and 7 Frost damage every 5 sec for 30 sec.
If dispelled, water erupts and inflicts 14 Frost damage to nearby allies and knocks them back.
Terror From Below: Enemies that remain in the water for too long will be constricted by tentacles and crushed.

Constricting Terror: Erupt from the water to crush enemies who have been away from land too long.

Crushing Embrace: A tentacle erupts from the water and crushes its prey for 15 Physical damage every 1 sec for 30 sec.

Call of the Deep: Belches a torrent of water that inflicts 49 Nature damage on impact to nearby enemies.
Gripping Terror: Destroying these tentacles allows the Cannoneer to repair the broken artillery that is scattered throughout the wreckage.
Demolishing Terror: Guard the wreckage surrounding Viq'Goth.

Hull Cracker: Continuously smashes the ground when not engaged in melee combat, inflicting 29 Physical damage to everyone
Slam: The tentacle slams the ground, inflicting 29 Physical damage and knocking back all enemies in a cone in front of the caster.

The Golden Serpent

Normal

Heroic

Overview: The Golden Serpent spits gold at party members, who then leave it behind in the form of [Molten Gold]. The Golden Serpent will later animate these pools of gold with [Lucre's Call]. Kill the animated molten gold before it reaches him to avoid having it empower him with [Luster].

Tank:
When The Golden Serpent uses [Lucre's Call], move it away from pools of gold to give players a chance to kill Animated Gold before they reach the boss.
[Tail Thrash] deals heavy Physical damage.
Healer:
Players afflicted with [Spit Gold] will take heavy damage.
Damage Dealers:
Move away from the Golden Serpent and your group members when afflicted by [Spit Gold] to better place [Molten Gold].
Use stuns, roots, and knockback effects to help your group prevent Animated Gold from reaching The Golden Serpent.

Spit Gold: Spits molten gold at a player, inflicting 17 Fire damage every 3 sec. for 9 sec, and creating a pool of Molten Gold at the player's location afterwards.

Molten Gold: Inflicts 16 Fire damage every 2 sec. to players who touch the molten gold.

Lucre's Call: Turns all pools of Molten Gold in the area into Animated Gold.

Animated Gold: Attempts to move towards The Golden Serpent. If any reach it, The Golden Serpent absorbs them and gains a stack of Luster. When any Animated Gold are killed, they return to pools of Molten Gold.

Luster: Absorbs 0.01% of the Golden Serpent's health in damage, and increases its damage done by 50% until removed.

Serpentine Gust: Unleashes a gust of wind, inflicting 29 damage to players within 15 yards and knocking them back.
Tail Thrash: A heavy hitting melee strike that inflicts 74 Physical damage.

Mchimba the Embalmer

Normal

Heroic

Overview: Mchimba the Embalmer is a construct enchanted to entomb the ancient kings of Zandalar, and uses his powers to entomb players and prepare them for their eternal rest.

Tank:
Avoid [Burn Corruption].
If you are [Entomb]ed, [Struggle] to let your friends know which crypt you are in!
When players are [Entomb]ed, look for their signs of [Struggle] to free them!
Healer:
Heal players afflicted with [Dessication] above 90% health to remove it.
If you are [Entomb]ed, [Struggle]to let your friends know which crypt you are in!

Damage Dealers:
If you interrupt [Drain Fluids] with an immunity, you will avoid [Dessicaiton]

Burn Corruption: Burns the ground, inflicting 53 Fire damage to players within 10 yards and creating a patch of Burning Ground.

Burning Ground: Inflicts 31 Fire damage every 2 sec. to any players inside a patch of Burning Ground.

Drain Fluids: Prepares the target for mummification by draining their fluids, inflicting 18 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 8 sec. If the effect lasts the full duration, it applies Dessication to the target.

Dessication: Reduces damage done by 50% and movement speed by 50%. Lasts until the target is healed above 90% health.

Entomb: Entombs the target within one of the crypts inside the chamber. After casting Entomb, Mchimba will move between the crypts, opening them one at a time, beginning with the crypts that do not contain the entombed player.
Releasing the Entombed player will interrupt the ritual, preventing Mchimba from releasing additional Half-Finished Mummies.

Open Coffin: Opens one of the crypts, releasing the occupant. Each open coffin reduces the time required to open subsequent coffins.
Struggle: While trapped, players can struggle against the doors of the crypt, alerting other players to their presence.
Half-Finished Mummy: When a coffin that does not contain a player is opened, a Half-Finished Mummy will emerge and attack the party.

Wretched Discharge: Afflicts all players with a disease, causing 18 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 12 sec.

The Council of Tribes

Normal

Heroic

Overview: The battle will begin with one of the three councilors - the order that the councilors join the battle changes from week to week.
When a councilor is defeated, they will return to their urn and the next will join the encounter. However, the defeated councilor will periodically rejoin the battle to use a single ability, and then return to their urn.
When all three councilors are defeated, the encounter ends.

Tank:
Aka'ali the Conqueror's [Debilitating Backhand] will inflict heavy damage and apply [Shattered Defenses] for a short time - try to keep away from her while affected by it.
Kula the Butcher's [Whirling Axes] start close to her - moving out of melee range can make them easier to dodge.
Move in front of players targeted by [Barrel Through] to reduce the damage they take.
Healer:
Aka'ali the Conqueror's [Debilitating Backhand] will inflict heavy damage to your tank.
Kula the Butcher's [Severing Axe] inflicts heavy damage over time.
If Zanazal the Wise's Thundering Totem is able to finish its cast of [Thundering Crash], it will interrupt spell casting - stop casting if its cast completes to avoid lockout.
Damage Dealers:
Interrupt Zanazal the Wise's [Poison Nova].
Be prepared to quickly kill Zanazal the Wise's totems when he casts [Call of the Elements].
Move in front of players targeted by [Barrel Through] to reduce the damage they take.

Kula the Butcher

Whirling Axes: Unleashes a whirling attack that inflicts 39 Physical damage to players within 10 yards, knocking them back.
Also, she throws two whirling axes which inflict 16 Physical damage every 2 sec. for 6 sec to players who come into contact with them, and knock the player back.
Severing Axe: Inflicts 14 Physical damage every 2 sec. for 1 min.

Aka'ali the Conqueror

Barrel Through: Aka'ali charges a targeted player, hitting any players in between her and the targeted player for 25 Physical damage, and hitting the targeted player with Barreling Impact.

Barrel Through: Inflicts 147 Physical damage to the target and knocks them back. The damage is reduced for every player hit by Barrel Through.

Debilitating Backhand: Wallops her current target with a Debilitating Backhand, inflicting 98 Physical damage, knocking them back, confusing them for 2 sec, and applying Shattered Defenses to them.

Shattered Defenses: Increases physical damage taken by 200%.

Zanazal the Wise

Lightning Bolt: Inflicts 31 Nature damage.
Poison Nova: Creates a burst of poisonous gas, inflicting 12 Nature damage to all players every 2 sec. for 20 sec.
Call of the Elements: Zanazal the Wise calls forth his four elemental totems.

Explosive Totem

Explode: Explodes, inflicting 82 Fire damage to all players.

Torrent Totem

Torrent: Gouts of water spew forth from the totem, inflicting 12 Frost damage to players within 3 yards and knocking them back.

Earthwall Totem

Earthwall: Protects Zanazal the Wise with a wall of earth, absorbing up to 49 damage for 2 min.

Thundering Totem

Thundering Crash: A burst of thunder interrupts all players for 4 sec.

Dazar, The First King

Normal

Heroic

Overview: Dominated by Zul's dark magic, Dazar returns from the dead with his overwhelming martial prowess intact.
At 80% health, he calls for his hunting raptor Raban to join the fray.
At 60% health, he mounts for T'zala, his loyal steed, who protects him with [Eternal Guardian].
Finally, at 40%, he activates the spear launchers in his room, which continue to fire at players until Dazar is defeated.

Tank:
The last two hits of [Blade Combo] deal very heavy damage. Save defensive abilities for them.
When Reban joins the battle, move to intercept him before he attacks other members of the group.
Healer:
[Blade Combo] will deal heavy damage to your tank.
[Quaking Leap] deals group damage that decreases the further you are away from the targeted player. If you are targeted, move away from the group, and move away from other players who are targeted!
Damage Dealers:
If you are targeted with [Quaking Leap], move away from the group - or, if another player is targeted, move away from them!

Gale Slash: Dazar gathers the power of wind in his blade and slashes, creating a tornado that moves to a player's location and then swirls around the area, inflicting 10 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 1 min to any players hit, and knocking them back.
Quaking Leap: Dazar leaps at the targeted player, inflicting up to 49 Physical damage to all players. This damage is reduced the further players are from the targeted location.
Blade Combo: A series of deadly melee strikes that deal increasing damage to their target.
Impaling Spear: Launches a spear from a trap, impaling any players hit, inflicting 22 Physical damage every 1 sec. and stunning them for 2 sec.
Reban: When Dazar reaches 80% health, he will call for Reban to join the battle.

Hunting Leap: Jumps towards a targeted player and unleashes a series of gutripping attacks, inflicting 22 Physical to players in a cone with each attack.

T'zala: When Dazar reaches 60% health, he will mount T'zala.

Deathly Roar: Inflicts 20 Shadow damage to all players and makes them run in fear for 2 sec.
Eternal Guardian: All damage done to Dazar is redirected to T'zala.
