Several days ago, Shadowlands Alpha Build 9.0.1.34972 hit, adding soulbinds, a big change to combat potions, and lots of customization options including male orcs. As the datamining has wound down, we're recapping all of Wowhead's earlier Alpha discoveries in one post so you can find things easily.

Story + Zones
Spires of Ascension
: The new zone open for testing is the Spires of Ascension dungeon in Bastion.
Exile's Reach for Horde
: The new starting experience for Horde is now open for testing.
Bolvar Arrives in Oribos
: We have a WIP cutscene of Bolvar making an epic entrance in Oribos.
Customization
Goblin Piercing and Earring Customizations
: Shadowlands Alpha build 34972 added many more earring and piercing customization options for both Male and Female Goblins! In addition to this, goblins can now change their nose and chin customizations separately.
Blood Elf Silver & Gold Jewelry
: Blood Elves now have the option to choose between gold and silver variants of their jewelry in Shadowlands, including the new bracelet, earring, and necklace options.
Female Gnome Earrings
: Shadowlands Alpha build 34972 added many more earring customization options for Gnome Females.
Male Orc Hair, Beards, & Piercings
: Shadowlands Alpha build 34972 added more Orc Male customization options, including new hair and facial hairstyle, teeth and ear piercings.
Male Draenei Headdress Color
: Shadowlands Alpha build 34972 added more Jewelry colors for Male Draenei Headresses! These feature more color selections for both metal portions and gems of the jewelry options.
Female Draenei Jewelry Color
: Shadowlands Alpha build 34972 added more Jewelry colors for Female Draenei Headdresses and Tail Jewelry! These feature more color selections for both metal portions and gems of the jewelry options.
Dressing Room Updates
: The Dressing Room has most of the new Blood Elf, Gnome, and Draenei options, as well as flowers in Male Tauren hair.

: We've updated our Soulbind Calculator to include all 12 Soulbind Trees for each Covenant and Soulbind targets. These Soulbind trees have crazy effects including Cheat Death effects, effects when you successfully interrupt, improvements to flasks, enchants and potions, large stat buffs and much more making your Covenant and Soulbind choice unique!
Legendary Runeforged Powers Can Only Be Used on Specific Slots
: Shadowlands Legendary Runeforged powers seem to only be able to be equipped on specific pieces of gear.

: We've datamined an interesting catch-up mechanism for Professions in Shadowlands: journals that grant five skill points a week. If you cannot afford to acquire the mats and level quickly at launch, these books should allow you to eventually reach the skill cap.
Five Minute Cooldown Combat Potions in Shadowlands Bluepost
: Blizzard has announced changes to combat potions in Shadowlands, noting that combat potions will no longer have a limitation of one per encounter but have a five minute cooldown. We also confirmed that
combat and utility potions
have a shared cooldown.
Dungeons and Raids
Tyrannical Mythic+ Affix No Longer Affects Minion Health in Shadowlands
: The Tyrannical Mythic+ affix has been modified in Shadowlands Alpha, noting that only the bosses' health will be increased during the affix and not boss adds.
Encounter Journal - Updates to Castle Nathria Bosses
: This build adds many changes to Castle Nathria bosses.
General
Sorrowbane - BoA Epic Sword
: Sorrowbane is the only Bind on Account epic weapon so far added in Shadowlands.
New Models
: We have a handful of new models from the Shadowlands alpha, including a Piranha Bowl and Frog Duck.
Hunter Pet Stable Size Increased from 60 to 200 Slots in Shadowlands
: Blizzard has greatly expanded the number of available stable slots for Hunter Pets in Shadowlands. You can keep up to 205 pets, up from 65 pets in Battle for Azeroth.
