Patch 5.2: Thunder Isle Teaser from Blizzard, PTR in January

Blizzard woke us up in the middle of the night to share this sweet teaser pic of Thunder Isle, the new raid dungeon in 5.2. From this picture, we can also learn that the 5.2 PTR is hitting soon, right on the heels of the holidays. Blizzard really seems to be sticking to their promise of delivering new content patches quickly.

much about the raid theme from this picture, besides that it has really awesome Pandaren-themed architecture with some Mogu statues in the courtyard--what do you think the new raid theme could be? Several devs have hinted that they were inspired by Ulduar.
We've seen the Thunder King alluded to in a few places already, such as in Golden Lotus quests like
L'Ascia da Battaglia del Re del Tuono
, legendary quests like
Il Re del Tuono
, and archaeology (
Collezionista: Editti del Re del Tuono
). Known as Emperor Lei Shen, the Thunder King was a powerful mogu leader who defeated all of his rivals with the aid of a mysterious relic, and was resurrected by
Profeta Khar'zul
at the Isle of Reckoning in Mists.
The Thunder King is also tied to the Zandalari trolls, as players learn in Kun-Lai quests such as

. The Mogu and Zandalari were old allies, and the Zandalari are looking to make their new home on Pandaria, so maybe we'll be getting some new troll developments too!
