Tip #1: Know Your Limits: Tanks are immortal during cooldowns and knowing when to use those cooldowns is important. Tanks should know everything that a mob will do based on the dungeon affixes and its abilties.

Tip #2: Movement: Generally, you want to pull mobs forward, as most of the time, you lose most of your time running between packs. However, sometimes in dungeons, you will want to pull other mobs backwards to avoid patrols.

Tip #3: Positioning: Many classes have abilities where they require the mobs to be in a specific position for a period of time.

Tip #4: Kiting: Many mobs such as Thundercallers from Halls of Valor will not use abilities when the Tank is out of range. Grabbing threat and then running far far away, will cause the mobs to harmlessly chase the tank instead of using its powerful attacks.
