As 2018 draws to a close, many sites and communities create traditional “Game of the Year” lists, ranking games across a variety of serious and silly metrics. While we can’t quite do that here at Wowhead, as we focus on World of Warcraft, we’ve decided to dive into the multitude of pageviews from 2018 and highlight what was the most popular in our community!
Today we are highlighting the most popular news posts that contain hotfixes of 2018 on Wowhead.

July 14: Last Minute Class Hotfixes before the BFA Pre-Patch
3 days before the Battle for Azeroth Pre-Patch releases on live servers, Blizzard pushed one last set of class tuning changes via hotfixes on the Battle for Azeroth Beta.

Aug 27: Auction House Changes
At the beginning of the expansion, the Auction House was very slow and took a long time to navigate. This set of hotfixes includes a large change for the Auction House to improve the responsiveness of the Auction House.

Sept 7: Heroic Uldir and Azerite Trait Tuning
3 days after Uldir releases, Blizzard nerfed Heroic G'huun and made changes to Fetid Devourer in Uldir. This hotfix set also comes with Azerite Trait and Mythic+ tuning as well.

Aug 20: Darkmoon Deck Tuning
All Darkmoon Decks in Battle for Azeroth were changed including large changes to
Mazzo delle Barricate di Lunacupa
and
Mazzo delle Burrasche di Lunacupa
and allowing
Mazzo degli Abissi di Lunacupa
to be used by Hunters.

Aug 28: Azerite Armor Trading
After a lot of feedback from the community, Blizzard decided to allow Azerite Armor to be tradeable in these Hotfixes.

Sept 24: Anchor Weed Changes, Class and Azerite Trait Tuning
The rarity of
Alga d'Ancora
in early Battle for Azeroth caused Flasks and Potions to be expensive and this hotfix increased the amount of
Alga d'Ancora
when gathered. In addition, these hotfixes contain a large number of class and azerite trait changes.

Sept 17: Vantus Rune Nerf and Azerite Trait Tuning
The week after Mythic Uldir opened, Blizzard announced that
Runa Vantus - Uldir
would be getting nerfed. In addition, Blizzard nerfed a large number of popular Azerite Traits for the upcoming Weekly Reset and the World First race for Uldir was still going on at this point.

Dec 8: Last Minute Class Hotfixes before 8.1
3 days before the BFA Patch 8.1, Blizzard hotfixed a large number of class and azerite trait changes on the 8.1 PTR with large changes to Blood Death Knights, FIre Mages and Protection Warriors,

Hotfix before 7.3.5
On the 7.3.5 PTR, a new item was found
Essenza Titanica Purificata
that allowed players to buy a Legiondary with
Essenza del Risveglio
. However, unless you still had the
Uno sforzo titanico
quest, you would not be able to collect
Essenza del Risveglio
until 7.3.5. Blizzard hotfixed it so all players could continue collecting
Essenza del Risveglio
without the need for the quest.

Warglaives of Azzinoth Drop Location and Additional Hotfixes
This hotfix post was combined with a very popular topic: Information on How to Get the Warglaives of Azzinoth transmog drop. The hotfixes themselves aren't very exciting but the Warglaives information was very popular.
Many of the top hotfix news posts include Class, Item and Azerite Trait changes -- people really are attached to their class and its balance! From the top 10:
THREE news posts containing hotfixes containing Blizzard-posted Azerite Trait changes
TWO news posts containing last minute class and azerite tuning before a major patch
ONE news post containing Darkmoon Deck Tuning, which were powerful trinkets at the time.
With only one hotfix post from Legion, Battle for Azeroth hotfixes were much more popular, with large changes to the community's problems such as the Auction House and Azerite Armor Trading changes.
