Blizzard Introduces Exciting New Features!
01/04/2010 alle 14:59
Today Blizzard introduced a slew of exciting new features that I know I can't personally wait to get my hands on!
Check after the break for a complete list!
The first of these is the
Battle.net Neural Interface
. Once you put the neural interface on it immediately maps all your senses to your ingame character so you can feel, smell, taste, and hear everything that goes on in Azeroth! There are some side-effects (that I find completely minor and pose no risk), such as temporary or permanent loss of brain functions. You can get the Battle.net Neural Interface in black, white or pink (for the ladies!) for $14,999 at the official
Next up, the brand new
tool. With it, you can find what you are looking for in another player that can help you form a bond that is deep, meaningful and true. By using the new and improved matchmaking features you can find that perfect someone to pwn noobs with. Some of the excellent features include the use of multiple selection drop downs to help find that perfect match. You can check out the official site
, and make sure to watch the introduction video!
Now onto the last feature that is introduced today, which I think you will all love. The
Equipment Potency EquivalencE Number
for short, will be introduced along with the upcoming stat-revamp. You will no longer have to worry about getting an addon to view someones GearScore to know if a player is worth a damn or not, all you have to do is look at your fellow players E.P.E.E.N. which will be conveniently displayed above their head.
You may be asking how is this number derived? As you gain better and better gear your E.P.E.E.N. will rise and when it finally peaks you will begin a new tier and start over. To help increase your E.P.E.E.N. you will receive regular in-game mails on how to enhance it.
When you finally reach some of those high end levels of E.P.E.E.N. you can earn ingame rewards like the ones listed below:
Permanent "need" roll bonus
Cut to the front of the dungeon queue
Larger ignore list
Reduced dungeon deserter debuff
A new non-combat pet: Binky the Mechano-Rooster
You can read the entire page about E.P.E.E.N on Blizzard's official
Under Development Website
That just leaves the latest development from Blizzard's mobile team! The mobile development arm over at Blizzard has announced two brand new projects:
Blackthorne II is a sequel to Blizzard's classic action/platform game
, where Kyle Blackthorne is given the task of saving the planet of Tuul from an enslaving army (that looks suspiciously like orcs). Now, Kyle is back—and this time, the world he has to save is Earth!
The other new devlopment is
, an adventure game for mobile devices starring the Queen of Blades herself!
Using a new technology developed exclusively for Blizzard, called the
Adventuring Game Ingine
! Using this new technology, Blizzard lets you actually control your character using
—all you have to do is say "Go North" and your character does it!
