I can confirm this item has a chance to drop from Profeta Skeram (First Boss Ahn'Qiraj 40) as of 30/10/2012, PTR Patch 5.1
It is a miniature version of The Prophet Skeram. (Check screenshot)

Quick facts:

- The Mini Mindslayer is a Magic battle pet.
- It is great against flying pets, and it has three spells which are pretty good against flying pets.
- It is a rare quality pet.
- The companion is blue, unlike the prophet himself.

Rates at level 1:

Health: 152
Power: 12
Speed: 12

It is a nice companion, and seeing Ahn'Qiraj is easy to do now, it ain't hard to get this companion.

got this guy today, from the first boss in AQ, i dont know if im lucky or the drop chance its high

This pet was introduced in patch 5.1 as part of 12 new Vanilla Raid drops. There are three from each raid: Nucleo Ardente, Fortezza dell'Ala Nera, Ahn'qiraj, Naxxramas. Though technically a Wrath of the Lich King raid, Naxxramas was first released into the game during the final months before The Burning Crusade.

Drop rate is not 100%. Collecting all these pets will complete Incursore animalista which gives a final pet, Signor Bigolo

According to Cory Stockton (Lead Content Designer for World of Warcraft), additional pets for TBC and Wrath raids will become available in the future. (source)

This pet is huge - as tall as a gnome! Give it a magical pet biscuit and it's looking my night elf in the eye!

At that height, it should be contributing to the raid!

Drop rate for me sucks. 3 kills, 2 on one toon, 1 on another, and it's dropped 0 times. That's been my luck in this game for years! Hope this helps.

I got this as well as the Globulo di Viscidus on the first run. The pets look great and the mindslayer is massive for a pet
