Wildvine potion is useless. I find that most uses of this result in very small amount of health and mana restored. Most times when using a potion you need the health or mana. Basically you are a doing a /random 1500 for the mana and health, so I hope you are lucky.

The droprates seems to be much higher than wowhead sais.
I'w killed around 20, 3 recipes.
Maybe i was just lucky.

This has a small chance to drop from almost all trolls in The Hinterlands and Stranglethorn Vale. I'd advise vendoring it, on most servers there's already 10+ of these recipes on the AH, and since it's a worthless potion, nobody is interested in buying it.

I'm not sure why WoWhead is outdated on this recipe but it now gives 750 mana/750 hp after using it instead of the random 1-1500 mana/hp that it did before.

I can't seem to find this recipe anywhere post Cata. I'm guessing the changes to the level of mobs and whatnot is affecting it's drop rate. I've farmed for a few hours in both STV and Hinterlands, but have found none. I also check the AH daily for recipes and have never seen one.

I got one today in the AH for 3g (US - Fenris)

So pretty much its still dropping from the mobs listed here and there is hope for the Recipe collectors to get this one too.

As of patch 7.3 the alchemy says it is drop off note to self wowhead is outdated on this post as i read through all i decided to post what in game right now as of star date 09/06/2017 at 10:18 game time ! SO after some vids on zanzil quest south stranglethorn zanzil for outcast dont know if he drops wildvine recipe yet one zanzil in zul'gurub ad giude ingame reads just gear and weapons ! on that not e type zanzilthe out cast in search nothing interesting came up about where how to get this recipe of the npc did utube search to nothing came up blizz forum nothing so as latter post states aucton gouse is best place farm this recipe ! ps if sell uner 10k grab em and sell ones don't learn back to Ah for 100% mark up !

It seems that this recipe does not drop anymore on Hinterlands trolls (not confirmed), as they don't drop wildvine anymore.
I killed around 10 000 Hinterlands trolls and dropped nothing, but i can't prove this fact.

However the STV trolls might still drop it (and they drop Vite Selvaggia and Gabbia di Macao Giacinto as well), so i recommand you not to waste your time as i did and try to farm the right mobs.

Currently the recipe still says it drops from "World Zanzil the Outcast Creatures." Ran Zul'Gurub and killed everything, hoping it would be a drop on Zanzil or one of the other troll NPCs. Got nothing. Submitted a bug asking for them to clarify if it was "world creatures" or "Zanzil the Outcast" in hopes of bringing this issue to a GM's attention. Cross your fingers.

Cant confirm if it still drops but probably ye, but the more efficient way of getting this recipe is from AH/trade. Usually goes for 100-150k gold.

Shocked as I was, I can confirm this still drops. It dropped from one of the trolls in Northern Stranglethorn at the Ruins of Zul'Mamwe while I was doing archeology.

Looks like this was readded with patch 10.1.7 this morning. I got two drops off trash mobs from a single clear of Zul'Gurub.
