I assume there's a level requirement on alts, be a big strange to have a level 1 bank alt revered with Klaxxi.

Still, about time. Hopefully it will be for the other factinos too. It's dreary enough grind the same dailies over and over again on your main without having to repeat it over and over again on alts to get recipes up unlock VP gear - and really, what is THAT one about? Starting to hate this game for the remorseless grinding and when they make grinding almost compulsory, it's too much. Not fun any more...

New Grand Commendation items in Mist of Pandaria:

Alliance.

Horde.

Neutral (Both Alliance and Horde).

These Faction items are available for patch 5.1 except the Sunreaver and Krin Tor ones that are available for patch 5.2, you must be Revered with each faction if you want to buy this item.

Grand'Encomio dei Klaxxi is sold by Klaxxi Quartermaster, Fabbro d'Ambra Zikk, for 37g50 at revered, 35g at exalted with /// 42g50 at revered, 38g at exalted without . The Quartermaster is located in the Dread Wastes, at Klaxxi'vess.

Grand Commendations becomes available for purchase at Revered reputation with a faction. The gain will affect that character's grind from Revered to Exalted as well as all future toons on that account (both factions, all realms, all battle.net accounts) for all rep levels, forever. The bonus stacks with both guild and human rep bonuses, doubling the amount of rep received after they are applied.

For example, a quest that gives a 250 base reputation gain (like this one) will give: 250 rep + 25 (guild) + 25 (human) = 300 rep * 2 (Grand Commendation) = 600 total rep

The item can be purchased and used more than once, but multiple uses will have no effect, so buyer beware. In order to see whether your account has a particular reputation bonus, open up the reputation tab of your character pane; reputations with the bonus will have a golden arrow on the right side of the reputation bar. Mousing over this golden arrow will reveal the text: "Bonus Reputation: Your account has unlocked bonus reputation gain with this faction." (updated for 5.2)

I bought this item on my priest, but when I signed into my 85 pally (who I haven't even started the MoP quest line with by going to the Skyfire in SW) and there is no evidence of rep gains, although I do see them on my 87 rogue. So my question is, does the rep bonus kick in and become available AFTER the toon follows the questline La richiesta di un Re?

If anybody has some insight to this, plz reply. I will update if I figure it out as well.

I stand corrected, rep gains are for individual toons that complete the quests/dailies. Rep does not apply to other toons an said account.

Just finished all the non daily Klaxxi Quests on my Worgen 'lock with this in effect form the start. He's at 8216/21000 Revered, that includes the 10% guild bonus.

Gives rep bonus while leveling too. Example, +500 Klaaxi Rep for the starter quests on my lvl 89 Hunter. Woot!

Does this effect also apply cross-faction-wise?
I'm playing on a PvP server and I got chars on both Alliance and Horde. If I buy the item with an alliance character, does my horde characters also benefit from the effect?

How can I tell if I've bought this item already so I don't accidentally buy it again down the road? For those of us with crappy memories, this can be a gold sink.

Sometime in Legion/BFA the gold arrow/icon showing your account had the commendation unlocked was removed. I am uncertain if this was intentional or an error, but I confirmed today (after much gold spent in vain) that my Exalted toon had indeed already purchased the Grand Commendation from the quartermaster for each of the Pandarian factions which sells the item. I removed all addons to confirm it wasn't a UI issue, but it is totally gone.

This commendation is still active (tested cross-faction on max and low-lv toons), it just doesn't show up for the player to see. Which is highly unfortunate given the tokens are re-purchasable and non-refundable. Re-purchasing and attempting to use the commendation causes a red error message to briefly flash in the center of the screen stating "Already commended by this faction". Players will thus need to keep manual track of these now in order to avoid losing gold.

I have left this same comment on the other Grand Commendation pages as well to help spread word of this situation.
