The name of the sword in Spanish is Tizona. It's probably a reference of El Cid and famous his sword.

Makes a good weapon for role-playing if you're in need for a standard set sword. This is good for bigger numbers, as-well: it's cheap, the vendor for it is found easily and it's usable by relatively low-level characters too.

And it makes a grand PvE weapon if you just enchant it properly! (Success not guaranteed.)

Hopefully they let us mog simple white vendor items like this soon after it's available, instead of requiring stats only. A lot of people, myself included, are going to want simple looking weapons depending on their sets they've made. They don't get any simpler looking than these vendor whites, and they don't look half bad either.
