This potion has a lot of applications for players who like to explore dungeons solo (not needed for classes that have stealth of course) Just make sure you have your timing well figured out before drinking the potion (running naked in test runs will avoid the need for repairs)

Mages beware that casting blink will break the invisibility. Running speed enchant to boots combined with the trinket "Nifty stopwatch" is the way to go!

This potion has a long cooldown time, so it's best to be judicious in its use. It's pretty good for sneaking around certain places in Dire Maul, though. Also there are some crowded areas out in the open (like EPL) where it comes in handy.

Wondering, does this work like the mage spell invisibility? If so, the uses for this in raids are pretty insane. Pop potion, clear effect, you're out of combat in the middle of a raid boss. Drink/eat to your hearts content, and go back in the fight, effectively doubling your manapool. oO

Any interaction, save for talking/emoting etc., cancels the effect. Including abilities that don't break stealth.

This pot has a 10 minute cooldown to use another one. It, however, doesn't share the cooldown with any other pots.

This potion when used in conjunction with the Mage ability Invisibility, can extend the length of the time you remain invisible to up to ~38 seconds.

Simply drink the potion when you have ~1-2 seconds remaining on Invisibility, and you'll be seamlessly transfered into 18 seconds of "Invisibility".

I may have done it "wrong" somehow, but it seems this cannot be used to sneak past things in all instances- at least not heroic Slave pens. The guards that could see through stealth weren't falling for this.

Zalgradis used this in his ZalPalaPvP3 movie to imitate a Rogue.
He was carrying Zin'Roth Destroyer of Worlds and rogue gear while he was a Paladin, and approached Orgrimmar in a PvP realm.
He used this, ran up to behind a few duellers, attacked them, killed them in seconds and used the Gnomish Cloaking Device http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4397 to disappear again.

The reaction of one of his victims, a level 60 Tauren Hunter who had just beaten his opponent in a duel, then getting oneshotted by a rogue carrying a twohander which was actually a Paladin, was:

As of Patch 2.3, if you are a mage using this puts any other Invisibility Potions - and any mana gems/healthstones/Dark Runes you have - on a 10 minute cooldown but doesn't put your normal potions on a cooldown.

I use these on a pvp realm for getting away from campers..Works great except against anyone with the lock buff, Detect Invisibility. I believe it does not work against druids in cat or hunters either. And I'd assume it wouldn't work against mages who use invisi, but i have yet to run into one that thinks about it at the time. Same thing with locks, as most do not have detect invisi up so i still get away the majority of the time. For my lowbie alts, i use lesser invisi pots.

Most of the time, you rez behind an object, pop one of these, and confusion ensues long enough for you to sneak away.

Actually, if this is anything like the engineering trinket, you will not be un-invis'd until the END of the cast (when it goes off), because when I'm invis with the engineering trinket I can cast mount and I don't un-invis until the 3 second cast on my mount finishes.

Many use them for arcatraz "stealth-run", it's pretty easy, but you have to wait 10 min between each run..

need four pots, then you basically start by running through the first hall in to the second room, and too the right the sec you come out of the hall, stay there and wait.. then you run to the hall with the two corpses, kill them then wait there to then run over to the way up to the next floor, then again to wait to run to the container room and camp by the container, kill the corpse-larva's and then finaly the container monster.

it was easier when you didn't have to kill the monster to get it.

These can be used to great effect as a paladin in battlegrounds. During divine shield, if you don't do anything you will drop combat, at which point you can pop one of these to become invisible and many people will just assume you AFKed out, so you can find a new place to hide and heal away with your opponents not even noticing you're still there.

Invisibility Potions now share cooldowns with all other potions such as Swiftness Potions.

One problem is that if you use an Invisibility Potion it will put ALL potions on a 10 minute cooldown instead of 2 minutes!

I'm curious what level stealth this potion gives. I do a lot of lower level farming with my priest, and it would be a lot easier to stealth past non-humanoid mobs that are too closely packed for an 80 to slip past. As a holy priest it's a real pain in the ass to have to fight pointless packs of anything that you could just slip past.

Still works beautifully. I forgot to pick up the Tryanical Beheader that dropped off the last boss of Pit of Saron, I went back in only to remember that we mounted up and ran past the caster pull. I remembered this beauty existed, mailed myself a couple of vials and walked right through them without any trouble. Great item if you still remember it exists.

I got an Invisibility Potion, and was able to move through the chamber to the kings room without being seen.

This is the very reason the cooldown is 10 minutes. Would you wait 10 minutes between each pack in an instance/raid just to solo farm a boss? Not likely. But if the cooldown was 2 minutes like other potions, one could cope with 2 minutes of mindless wikipedia browsing or whimsical googling so they wouldn't have to share drops. With a 2 minute cooldown, this sort of "abuse", as I'm sure Blizzard would label it, would mean half an hour of alt-tabbing into the game for 18 seconds at a time and you'd be at a boss. A 10 minute cooldown would require a couple hours at best.

A beautiful anti-ganking potion.

My low-level Warrior (around 30) was exploring Stranglethorn Valley on my PvP server, when I noticed a skull in the distance, destroying the guards at the Rebel camp. One thing you learn on PvP servers is to always be paranoid and always expect a red will kill you. Immediately I jumped on my mount, but like clockwork, the skull noticed me and the chase was on. My pathetic mount was much slower than his flightless bird (a retarded chicken, one could say), so I was in a panic. In PvP, there are few things more demeaning than being ganked by a skull; they do it to prove dominance, they do it because 1-shotting things is fun, and mostly, they do it because they're big, floppy %^&*s.

Just from the behavior of this guy, I could tell he was going to camp me because I committed the unholy crime of running away, instead of bending down to take it. Thankfully, I noticed this potion right here on my action bar; I had my Pally alchemist brew up a few for my low-level alts. I headed for a hill, jumped off of my mount once I reached the other side, and sucked down some invisibility. As I faded out of reality, I could see him riding up the hill, drool dripping from his fangs and pre-pubescent anger radiating outward from his sickly troll body. (Or that could've been grease from his lack of bathing.)

In short, I spent that 18 seconds running back to the rebel camp, uninterrupted, and using the Flight Master. The troll was long gone from the Rebel Camp, no doubt trying to find me on that hill, and I was on a safe route to Stormwind. And there is nothing more demeaning to a ganker than a low-level escaping your wrath.

It's expensive and fairly hard to find on my server, but if you have it, use it and love it. It looks cooler than stealth and it's a hell of a lot harder to detect.

I tried an Invisibility Potion in "The Shattered Halls" to try to get past a pair of Shattered Hand Sentrys that had the magic eye over their heads that indicated they could see through stealth. Well they can see through invisibility potions too. I drank the potion, waited a full 2 seconds (and on a later attempt 5 seconds) to make sure it was working, then as I walked by (still invisible), they turned, looked straight at me and then attacked me. So if you are thinking this is better than a rogue's Stealth, well in this case it wasn't.

Here is a short video that demonstrates how ineffective Invisibility Potion is against NPCs that have the "Anti-Stealth eye" aka "truesight" floating over
their head (that is only visible when you are stealthed or invisible).

If you watch the video closely you can see that they see my player before I even walk between them. Even though my player is shapeshifted in this video I tried it normally with the same results.

For anybody who hasn't learned this by now

Stealth & Invisibility are two completely DIFFERENT things. Both have the same intent of hiding from enemy players/npcs, but the simliarity stops there.

Stealth is essentially a fading - only becoming visible when an opponent is close enough to the stealth target and dependent on modifiers such as NPC/Player Level, detection potions, etc. and direction
Invisibility is more like a phasing of the user, similar to phasing in regions for quests. Would-be attackers are unable to see an invisible targets unless they have a "Detect Invisible" mechanic or the target walks into a hunter flare.

Using detect invisible will not allow you to see stealthed targets.
Using stealth detection mechanics (e.g. catseye elixir) will not allow you to see an invisible target.
Hunter Flares will reveal both.

NPC guards with an eyeball above them as viewed while stealthed or invisible can see BOTH.

FYI Warlocks: Burning Rush does NOT break invisibility potions, so use this before you pot and you can always use Lesser Invisibility Potions and be way ahead of your group in challenge modes without having to waste gold on the much more rare and expensive Invisibility Potion.

I found this info no where else and doubted it would work until I tried it myself, but the reason Burning Rush does NOT break invisibility because you "lose 4% life" each second, you don't actually "take damage" from burning rush.

Now that Legion is coming I recommend everyone who wants to make gold to stock these up. Mats for 1 potion on my realm are around 5g, and even now I sell them for 40-50g each, stack or two daily. When Legion hits people need these for Challenge Modes so their prices will propably skyrocket
