The cooldown shows as 5 seconds when you use the item, but it actually scales with distance. If you are at maximum range, it takes about five seconds for the ball to travel all the way there and back again. If you are standing right next to the person, the cooldown will show 5 seconds, and reset immediately when the ball arrives back to you.

Amusing note: Standing right next to someone and spamming use on this will make you look like you are in a kick / slap fight.

Please, Blizzard, remove the automatic return! It is used by some disrespectful players to annoy randomly to others, forcing them in an automatic (and not wanted) football match, and preventing from playing anymore.

Was there a stealth nerf to this? It seems to be on a 5 second cooldown now, whereas previously it was like 3sec and the receiving player actually threw it back.

Just discovered this item, like Pallone da Calcio Edizione Speciale interrupts anyone's crafting/cooking/smelting queue which can be ridiculously annoying to those who leave their toons afk while attempting to smelt 1000 bars...

Also, if you stand close enough to the person you're throwing The Pigskin to, it'll look like you're punching them since the skin won't be visible with you and your target being so close together.

Regalo Rubato is obtained from the Winter Veil daily quest Che cattivone... (H)/Che cattivone... (A). It requires you to kill the Abominevole Greench in Hillsbrad Foothills to free Metzen la Renna, as well as to recover Dolce Rubato, which spawn only after the Greench is killed.
The quest can be done 18 times per character over the course of the Winter Veil holiday. As the level requirement is 80, any alts at or above this level can also do this for another Regalo Rubato.

Some poor kid got their pigskin stuck at the top of Mount Volwrath in Talador. (85.1,39.2 in Talador if you wanted to see it. I posted a screenshot as well.)

Has a 40 yard range for friendly targets only. If left in a displayed Hotbar then a visible indication of distance. Might be useful for some players.

Use IsItemInRange(90883,"target") in an AddOn or macro with a result "1" meaning you are within 40 yards. The player need not have this item in the bank/bags to do this.

This comment is only really useful to AddOn and macro authors. See my Hard Yards AddOn for example.

seems like the pigskin is a victim of cancel culture 2020 or the anti-police sentiment/protests... It is now renamed to the swineskin.
