Wooo! I got this one today. Now I have all four of the rare ones! Woop woop! :OD I bet I am server first on Magtherdidon. (Worldsbstbro) Please, don't downrate. I am just so happy! And oooooh, I so wish they'd add some epics as well! (though these are pretty epic!)

This trinket is one of the rare solves for the Mogu branch of archaeology. It requires 180 fragments, and has 3 keystone slots.

The trinket itself is a very mediocre one. The on-use effect summons a Quilen that fights for you for roughly 30 seconds. I am not sure how and if the attacks of the guardian scale, but he was hitting for roughly 200 damage a hit, every 1-2 seconds.

It is a neat archaeology item but is unlikely to be a competitive trinket =)

It's possible that the statue has the same dialogue as the Anatomical Dummy. I heard it say "You're not very good at this torture thing." which is one of the things the dummy says while it's up.

In case anyone is wondering, the use effect isn't significant at all.
We're talking less than 5k total damage for the guardian every 10 min.

As lame as the trinket is, the benefit is having an itemlevel 463 trinket on your next alt (471 with upgrade!) This is higher than the average itemlevel to get into raid finder, so think of it as one less piece of gear every single one of your alts from now on needs to farm to get enough gear to start raiding or getting into heroics, even if you just keep it in your bags. Keep in mind you can equip this on a lvl85... and it's 63 ilvl higher than the first 85 Adventuring gear trinket.

This trinket currently lists its ilvl in-game as 463, but in the armory as 384.

This trinket can be upgraded with the new 5.1 feature to ilvl 471 / +913 Mastery. This is great at level 85, though less impressive at level 90.

The statue doesn't appear to hit any harder and remains a novelty.

Useful as another way to help shatter Viscidus once he's frozen.

Although the required number of melee hits has been lowered, as an elemental shaman, it's still a bit dicey for me to shatter him in time. This helped immensely.

From a BM Hunter's perspective:

I gained this trinket early on from my main and placed it on my Hunter as soon as I was able. It was the sole reason I was able to reach Expertise cap quickly (after reforging it and upgrading, it's worth 365 Expertise alone). It gave me the freedom to focus my other reforging on Hit > Crit > Haste > Mastery respectively. Of course, you could equally reforge the Mastery on this trinket to Hit etc.

Do not discount this trinket based purely on it's vanity use alone. Outside of Pandaren Heroics, there is little to compare in terms of trinkets being able to provide as large numbers for secondary statistics. Some examples of Heroic trinkets:

So until you're able to get into Heroics to have a chance at the trinkets above, this one is a cheap and easy way of filling the trinket void with good, usable stats.

This is a pretty weak item for its item level, HOWEVER, keep in mind that it can be used at level 85. Furthermore, you can have a main upgrade it with Justice Points to a 471, which is about 961 Mastery. At level 85, that's something on the order of magnitude of 6 mastery points, quite a bit for a trinket. As long as you have an alt with a useful mastery, it's well worth using at the low levels. To put it in context though, as you get higher, Minidrago di Ectoferro has almost twice as many raw stats on it as well as a stronger-hitting pet that is spawned more often; so despite the high item level, this should put into context how quickly this trinket will become weak as you level. Still, since it's boa, you only need one, and you can keep passing it around to every alt you level without any cost.

Also note this is a really good item to spoof your item level into lfr. You don't need to use it, you just need to have it. High ilevel trinkets can be one of the hardest things to get when you're trying to get into lfr too, and this fills one of those two spots.

Besides the nice mastery boost, the pet summoned by this trinket hits for approx. 1600 DMG.
The pet does only attack when you are hit.

if you actually look into the statues abilities it is not meant to do lots of damage but is actually supposed to increase your damage to all creatures nearby... by 25%. now imagine the mastery boost with the 25% damage boost on a demo lock, i think i just shat a brick.

Nice secondary stats, utterly horrific on-use effect. I don't know who at Blizzard was smoking the bong when they decided summoned creatures should be aggressive, but they should be demoted to answering customer complaints about "Horde bias".

Like the adds from Stampede, the quilen will cross continents to find new targets to attack, while you're not in combat. Unlike Stampede, there is no way to recall or interrupt it. Pretend it doesn't exist.

And for all the "achi-@#$%^s" (like miyself) another added bonus, it fulfills the requirements for Misticamente superiore without having to do a specific farm (on for instance a toon you're not so keen on playing but not going to delete and still want the achi's); so simply equip in left and right trink slots, and pass on to your next toon.

It has its use. 875 mastery is a lot of mastery in a level 80-84 BG after you leveled up to 85. It will make you overpowered for around 15 minutes.

I already made this one long time ago and now it popped up again as next artifact to build? And I just wanted my last pristine mogu coin.... What are the odds of this happening? I bet you they are lower then getting pristine mogu coin...

Objection: worthless after 85 and not viable as a cosmetic item?

Can this be made into the start of an 'enchant trinket' type items which allows the player to use these kinds of neat trinkets' cosmetic effect? I know that trinkets in wow was origionally supposed to not have stats but Blizzard added in a trinket that had a stat, making it the politically correct trinket to have if you're in a guild. If you look at the trinkets before the 50 range you'll notice a lack of trinket stats, most of them performing only limited functionality in combat.

Between this and Caber Toss I think it's reasonable to actually use them to copy the fun onto your characters without stat viability concerns (spoiler alert, they aren't viable).
