found several similar items while leveling in pandaria. they gave 390k xp when we dropped the +xp banner. this one we found spawning on the ground around & up next to the large tree in Kri'vess within townlong steppes.

Its right next to the graveyard inbetween the roots, just go up the hill inbetween the left draping root and youll see it.

I found this at level 88, but I had rest XP and it doubled it to over 700k XP earned. :)

I found this at 50,54.

Not sure if it can appear in multiple places, which would seem to make it different from the other gray gold/xp items.

Looted at (52.8,56.2) in the Townlong Steppes. Received 832,300 XP at level 89, with rested XP, in a level 3 guild.

Got this one at lvl 90, near the tree. No xp anymore but good gold non the less :D

Still I will not sell it yet, it will go in to my bank with all other interesting junk I found.

From reading the posts, it sounds like this spawns near the tree roots, but in a different place for almost everyone. As a level 89, the location of My Hardened Sap of Kri'vess was really hard to get at. I had to do some creative root jumping from the backside of the tree where the Kri'thik npc's are, but eventually got it. I did die from falling damage once.

Location - Townlong Steppes 53, 58 Opposite side (west) of tree from the Kri'thik npc's
Character- Level 89
Guild - Level 25
XP (rested) - 862K

i also found it around 57/54 next to the "house", it changes location quite a lot

I found this on my 89 druid with full rested XP and lvl 13 guild and it gave me almost 900k XP. Was a fantastic boost as I was only a little over 1M XP from lvl 90.

This item has random spawn locations and there can be more than one up at a time. All are around the the base and roots of the tree of Kir'Vess. Check the following coordinates I've compiled from the comments here.

I've found the Sap on opposite sides of the tree grounds. I've found a 2nd Sap while trying to find a path to the first Sap. This first Sap despawned after I looted the other. I've looted 4 of these now on different characters and ironically, it was this most recent toon that I had the most trouble locating one on. Just check the different coordinates until you find it.

The Linfa di Kri'vess Indurita is located inside the container object Linfa di Kri'vess Indurita, which may be found in Steppe di Tong Long near coordinates 52.84, 56.17. It has multiple spawn locations around the roots of the Kri'vess tree, so you will have to look around for it.

To set a TomTom Waypoint:
/way Townlong Steppes 52.84 56.17 Hardened Sap of Kri'vess

The Linfa di Kri'vess Indurita may be sold to a vendor for 110 Gold.

This find *does count* as a "Treasure of Pandaria": It increased my count of treasures found toward Le ricchezze di Pandaria, so I assume that it also counts for Il tesoro di Pandaria, La fortuna di Pandaria and Il bottino di Pandaria.

There is a "FLAG - quest" ( FLAG - Hardened Sap of Kri'vess ) for opening the Linfa di Kri'vess Indurita, which means that you can only do it once per toon - ever.

Here's a little macro command that you can use to see if you've already opened it:
/run print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(31424))
A result of true means that you have it already, and false means you haven't opened it yet.

After searching every coord on these posts i finally found mine at 52.53 , 55.54.

It was not near a tree root or underneath one either, it was just off a pathway towards the hill on the ground near a rockface.

A better way to describe the location is that it was east of the two pillars that mark the entrance for the spirit dust shado pan daily (killing the deadtalker tauren etc etc). There will be a path and just to the right of that.

Searched for about 15 minutes or so all the different co-ords posted and finally found mine at 53.81/58.46 right on the edge of a hill next to one of the roots. Good luck.

There are multiple spawn locations, so you may need to search around the roots/base of the Kri'vess tree.

I found a Hardened Sap today at 52.8, 59.9. Looting the item gave me a grey-quality Hardened Sap of Kri'vess, which vendors for 110 gold, also received credit towards the "Riches of Pandaria" achievement.
