These Spheres are from Teremus the Devourer in the Blasted Lands. They are used in the quests To Serve Kum'isha and Kum'isha's Endeavors rewarding you with some random item reward, consisting from Rares to even an Epic.

Turn these in to Kum'isha the Collector at 51,30 in the Blasted Lands.

Imperfect Draenethyst Fragments have a slightly below average percentage of dropping from regular mobs in the Blasted Lands and abroad. These turn in for random green items.

Flawless Draenethyst Spheres have a higher percentage of dropping from more powerful mobs such as the elite dragons of Blasted Lands, Swamp of Sorrows, etc. These turn in for random blue items.

YOU MUST HAVE ROOM IN YOUR QUEST LOG TO ACCEPT THE QUEST FOR THESE TO TURN THEM IN.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE THE QUEST FOR THESE ITEMS TO DROP.

Finally had one drop for me from a Redstone Basilisk, took me almost 4 years with a douzen alts but I finally got one! Reward was a 14 slotter and Elven Chain Boots.

Edit: I don't know what to say? 15 minutes later I had a second drop from an Ashmane Boar, am I the worlds most luckiest man for one day?

Anyone know the respawn time cuz i plan on geting one of them crapy things lol jk but i lvling alot of ppl 40-53 i love lvling my ppl together got 2 40s 1 53 and 1 54 so ya just looking then ill go and have some funin the mines lol cuz hey get u a minor one that gets like 2 greens nice for de on a alt or main cuz got good sellers so ya if u get blues or epics tho i wouldnt sell me and friend went thru the mine and we both got like 2 minors and he got 1 blue thing but we did it daily lvling and making huge gold but he was a lucky person cuz he has had like 10 epics drop and he won em all he quit about half way into bc never got bc so he was like a 60 twink that pwned but it was fun times

was just doing a couple of quests in blasted lands and 2 dropped withing the space of 15mins. handed them in and got about 14k xp as 46 hunter. dropped of a scorpid and boar in blasted lands. handed them in and got a blue and green in each chest .

"Soloable on level 70"? I did him on my beastmaster specced hunter 64. Not that good gear either. Admittedly, it took bit more than a few minutes, and I used ONE hp-pot. But I did it. And yeah, 3 spheres did I get.

Happened upon Teremus today while I was right around the dark portal. He dropped 3 spheres for me. Because of his long respawn time: If you're on Cairne, he was killed around 2:30pm Central.

Im farming Teremus on my paladin, tho im lvl 80 now, i usuauly get 2-3 of them, its quite nice cause people on my realm actually buys most things i get in the boxes. i got the Hanzo sword the other day and i sold it for 250g :)

These also have a high drop chance from a new rare creature added in 4.0.3a called Blackleaf

Edit: It seems that all rares in the blasted lands now have a high chance to drop these, I found Deatheye a few hours later and he also dropped one of these along with a random green.

With the recently changes to this item by allowing it to drop from the rare mobs in Blasted Lands these are very easily farmed. On my server (Firetree) I was able to find every single rare mob minus the two ogres and Grunter, this has netted me 6 blue items which should be very profitable. On top of that I've received a nice number of greens to disenchant and mined a bunch of veins. If you're looking for a quick way to make money, this is great and takes 5 minutes to sweep around on a 100% mount and I'm sure it would be very fast on a 310% flying.

Found one of these on Mordak Nightbender, a rare spawn right below Nethergaarde Keep. It appears that these no longer just drop off of Teremus anymore.

this item now drop from any rare mob in the area(those with gray borther around them - just like the outland and northrend rares). And so far 4 rares 4 drops so it seems that the drop is 100%

All the rares in Blasted lands have a 50% chance of dropping these and 50% chance of dropping a imperfect fragment. You can't get both from the same mob so it just depends on your luck which one you get. Blue = win, green = fail.

If you are hunting these mobs then I have made a custom list for NPCScan that includes all of the rare mobs in Blasted Lands, so no need to constantly click on a macro that targets all the mobs.

Flawless Draenethyst Sphere is fairly easy to farm in my opinion. It drops from rare mobs all around blasted lands.When I have nothing else too do, I go to blasted lands on my lv 64 hunter, and and fly over it while searching for rare elites on the mini map. Today, I got two in about 10 min. The emerald encrusted chest you get from the quest consists of all the 0% drops of lv 45-50, which I am currently using on my pally. The loot of the emerald encrusted chest usually consists of one rare and one uncommon,but the only items that dropped were Aegis of Stormwind and Stoneraven. Additionally, if you do not like the loot, you can usually make 75-200 g on the AC.

Found 5 of these and 3 imperfect draenthyst spears in about 30 mins by checking through blasted lands in the morning using the targetting macro a few comments above.... I actually found 9 rares but 1 was Spiteflayer and as i'm a hunter I decided to tame him since he has a unique skin.

This dropped for me today on my 3rd kill of the day. It dropped from a Shadowsworn Spellblade. Thought initially it was one of those "this item begins a quest" things that you get everywhere but the blue writing and value intrigued me so I looked it up here. That made me think that perhaps the drop % has gone up considerable with the latest patch, but ive had no more luck finding one! Even killed one of the rare spawns and didnt get it.

Ive had at least 7 of the "Green" equivalents of this though dropping from all sorts of things. The 4th kill of the day was the green one, right after this one dropped which added to my suspicions!

Common loot one blue and one green lvl 45-50. Rare loot bags, gems, recipes and epic lvl 45-50.

In order to get Cassa Ricoperta di Smeraldi you need to obtain Sfera di Draenetista Perfetta.
These are steadily obtained by rare mobs in Blasted Lands but all mobs in Blasted Lands can drop them.

Ones you have one or more start the item quest then turn them in at 48, 31 to the NPC named Kum'isha the Collector.

Good for transmog, AH and disenchanting.

(EDIT - as was to be expected, prices went down; most people now have the transmog gear they wanted, so greens don't fetch top gold anymore.)

This is a very good way to make gold; of course, it depends on how many other people on your server do it. There are 14 rares and they respawn after 4-8 hours.

Each rare drops:
- always 1 green BoE
- and always either a Fragment → turns into 1 green BoE
- or a Sphere → turns into 1 blue BoE and a 50% chance for an additional green BoE.

Thus, on average, 20 rare mobs in Blasted Lands will get you 35 green BoE plus 10 blue BoE. Thanks to transmog, which does not only affect RP-servers (everyone likes stylish gear), some of the green items sell very well, and the others can be disenchanted for Dream Dust, Nether Essence, Illusion Dust and Eternal Essence.

All in all, those 35 greens plus 10 blues can easily yield 2k Gold from about 30 minutes of farming (i.e. three rounds in Blasted Lands) and a little auctioning.

M'kay - the drop off of rares is not 100%, just to make sure that nobody makes that mistake (me).

So, on my pally, I had one of these from the naga rarespawn when grinding the Naga for the Rockpool quests. I had a bg pop up, did it, came back - and she'd already respawned, but this timed dropped an imperfect. I turned it (flawless) in, but only got a green. Then, I turned around, and I saw Ravage (possible transformers easter egg about a robo-cat of the same name) - he didn't drop a flawless, but DID drop an imperfect - so you always will get something. Then, I ran up to Altar of Storms, and nailed Dreadscorn, who gave me a flawless fragment. So, you can find multiple rares up at the same time, as well as in a small area.

P.S. If you're a rarespawn hunter, these mobs might be nicer than most because of their closeness and fast respawn timers. Also, you can get fun pieces of gear like "Mug o' Hurt" (no idea how to link, sorry).

Since the WoD pre-patch was released, Blasted Lands is now being invaded by the Iron Horde and you are not able to see Kum'isha il Collezionista anymore unless you go back to the "old" Blasted Lands.
You need to talk to Zidormi so you can turn back there. She is located at the entrance of Blasted Lands, beside the road, on a hill, behind the tree. Coordinates: 48,7

I've kept a toon out in the Blasted Lands to farm these up every morning. Drop rate has always been fairly consistent, around 40% on rares. Then a week ago, I had around 50 of these in my bag, I turned in all of the imperfect fragments I had (somewhere in the range of 55 - 60 of them) and kept the 50 perfects in my bag. Now, after a week of farming, I've gotten 12 perfect spheres and 55 imperfect fragments. (in the past I'd just trash the imperfects and ship the perfects off to be banked on an alt)

Being 10 year old content I really doubt they'd silently nerf the drop rate. So my assumption is one of two things: 1) I've just had a run of terrible, awful luck or 2) The drop rate is somehow tied to how many of the two items are in your inventory. 2 seems overly complicated, so I'm assuming bad luck at this point. However, the main reason I'm posting it here is in the event others who bother to farm this are actually seeing the same issue.

I've gotten 1 from every rare spawn tonight. Used the Viaggio nel Tempo buff I got from Zidormi so I could get to Anziano Muggirabbia for the Lunar Festival. Decided to fly around collecting the rare spawns and am surprised I got aSfera di Draenetista Perfetta from every drop. Albeit this may be rare to happen though there stands the chance Blizzard made the drop rate 100%.

I don't know if this was listed but I sure didn't see it and felt dumb afterward.
Flawless Draenethyst Sphere and Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment both happen to be stackable quest items, so you can just run around and kill all the rares and not have to worry about not being able to accept them all.

Don't be me and singally kill run rare, fly back, turn the quest in, repeat...

f you are looking for a challenge since mobs your level are a joke these are a great practice and net some great loot. I was able to kill nearly every rare as a twink hunter . Moonkin lvl 20 twink druids can also make quick work of these rares and are much safer since they can heal but a tad bit slower. Spells just miss 98% of the time These rares can be easily "kited" as kiting is a joke now, Autoshot on the move/no melee range/and infinite uptime concussive shot. I would also get a spider pet.

Twink hunters are excellent to take them down since they cannot be glanced meaning their shots still hit their full damage amount. yes ranged shots can now be parried and dodged but dont let that turn you down.

alot of these rares have 40yd range 3 second cast HIGH DAMAGE spells. Dont get to "greedy" with damage, know when to run off a small distance. The concept of firing off a few shots and LoSing a mob is basic but knowing when to back off can only be learned with practice

These quest turn-in's don't give you XP or gold. These only drop in Blasted Lands. They can drop off any mob but has a higher chance to drop of any Rare mobs. If you kill the Rare mobs, you also have a chance to get a Frammento di Draenetista Imperfetto. You turn these in to Kumisha the Collector located at: 48.8, 31.8 (TomTom coordinates). If you don't have TomTom, Kumisha is found just North of Dreadmaul Post. He will give you Cassa Ricoperta di Smeraldi which can have green/uncommon BOE armor or weapons inside. Happy Hunting!
