You can open the big beer kegs in the first boss room - but I dont know for what purpose!

Edit: As stated below, opening the kegs before killing the boss, will cause the monkeys to sleep and count towards the 40 monkeys you have to kill/get to sleep before the boss comes.

Several of these are on the ground after Ook-Ook. At least 9. You can't pick them up until you kill Ook-Ook because they're behind the bouncers. They respawn fast too.

They stack to 3. They're not time-limited, so you can hold them as long as you want.

There are 3 huge kegs in Ook-Ook's room. You can use 1 key on those huge barrels (instant cast) to get credit for 5 monkeys each barrel.

We used this technique in a Gold CM run to make clearing the big room much faster. The pack you need to pull and kite is much smaller with 15 taken out this way. But note you have to first kill Ook-Ook on normal mode to pick up the keys.

Here's how we did it: If you clear all of the monkeys before the big room, your count should be 18 or so. Once nearly everything was dead in that second-to-last room (with the brawlers that start off low), the 3 DPS ran into the big room to tap the 3 kegs (15 monkeys). The tank and healer pulled 7-8 more near the entry to the big room, and DPS ran back and killed them. 18+15+7 = 40.
