Dropped after a few minutes of questing from a Garrosh'ar Gear-Greaser in Jade Forest.

Now I only need three Golden Lotus... :)

So to the guy who only got it "long" after turning 90: Yeah, you probably just have bad luck. ;)

Any one know what to do with it after u got the 3 Golden Lotus: It say quest is complete, but no idea how to get the trinket.

so I just picked this quest up from killing mobs had 3 golden lotus in my bag finished the quest made Zen alchemist Stone .
Its a trinket .
equip increases your mastery by 751 .
when you heal or deal damage you have a chance to increase your Strength ,Agility, Intellect by 4,041 for 15 sec. Your highest stat will count .
Increases the effect that healing and mana potions have on wearer by 40% the Effect does not stack.

can be used for transmutations in place of a philosopher's Stone.

Seems to be extermely low drop rate, consider yourself lucky if you loot this before you get a raid trinket. Been grinding mobs for 10 hours today and no drop, 530 alchemy, level 88. Killed thousands of mobs. Had to stop experience gain since i want to use it in battleground before reaching 90.

Edit: Seems with 5.1 this item is actually bugged and doesnt drop at all.

I was having no luck getting this to drop for my 90 druid (alchemy 600). Finally as a last resort I sold the Quicksilver Alchemist Stone that I had, and the Strange Spherical Stone dropped after a dozen kills in Jade Forest. I have heard that even having another alchemist stone on another character can prevent this from dropping, so try selling it, then killing mobs for a while. It worked for me. :)

Was Questing in Pearl Lake Cords "60/80" and this dropped off of a Tartaruga Perlata for me while I was on the Quest Provviste da viaggio. Considering how easy these are to kill at a low level and MSV/HoF are not yet an option this may be very noteworthy for low level characters looking to get this item early on in MoP.

This dropped 10 minutes after I arrived in Pandaria. It seems to be a random drop. Got it from one of the guards where the first quests (once you are on the ground) takes place, (near Honeydew Village)... It says you need level 500 in Alchemy. ~ I'm at 527, so you don't need to be level 600.

Edit: = You can not wear two Alchemy Trinkets at the same time and the Strana Pietra Sferica will remain in your bags once you complete the quest and get the trinket. I assume it is safe to toss it out, but hanging on to it just in case.

If you're farming for this i recommend running between Dawn's Blossom and Pawdon Village in Jade Forest and killing the packs of Silverhorn Stag. They are plentiful and easy to kill.

I keep seeing people advise vendoring or banking (or unequipping) their various stones. This does not affect the drop rate. I had the Quicksilver equipped and the regular Alchemist Stone in my bag and the Sphere dropped for my Shaman (Alch level 600) during the very beginning of Pandaria killing Harbingers. However, two days later my Death Knight (Alch level 600) has had ZERO luck with getting it to drop at all and I've been grinding mobs in that same area for about two levels. It's completely RNG and there is NOTHING you can do to change that. You just have to keep farming, sorry.

This item was used for the MoP alchemist stone. I levelled alchemy on alts early on in the expansion. Later when I started playing the alts I wondered why this never dropped. I got to level 88 when I went back to the alchemy trainer and found.....

The alchemy trainer now teaches the recipe for the alchemist stone. So don't be like me trying to farm the quest item, just go back to your trainer.

Dropped in Jade Forrest for my mage before I hit 86. I haven't seen it on my Warlock, Druid, Monk, Rogue, or Hunter and they were all 600 alchemy before questing at 85 and are now all 89. Stupid RNG. I've done plenty of quests and dungeons in all the appropriate zones.

This item is no longer relevant. I am not sure if it even drops anymore. As of 5.2 the Pietra Alchemica Zen that this was used for is learned from your alchemy trainer (Pietra Alchemica Zen) for 8g.
