What if apples tastes suspciously like Pomfruits?

In French, pomme is apple. And I think there are similar terms in other Romance languages as well? Derives from the Latin pomum, fruit. Several potato dishes are also called pomme-something, eg pommes noisettes (round potato ball things), pommes frites (chips/french fries), which I always found confusing but it's because the French for potato is pomme de terre, "apple of the earth". Or maybe originally "fruit of the earth".

Er, anyway "pomfruit" is undoubtedly a hoity-toity (ie French) way of saying apple, so the flavour text is a bit of a linguistic in-joke.

Also in the original Latin "pomfruit" would be redundant :P

Just find a tree with white bark in the quest area, use the firework underneath it, and pomfruit come showering down. Simples.

It might be worth noting that these items have a limited duration of 2 hours, and therefore can not be sold or mailed or stored in the guild bank. They can however be traded so if you want to help your guild chef, or decide like me to farm the items on an alt that's the option you seem to have of getting them transferred between characters.

No need for fireworks. These can be picked whilst mounted, just fly up to tree and pick.

Since it's not listed here yet, this item is used in the Seasoned Pomfruit Slices recipe. The fruits can be found on the branches of the white trees to the north of Mistfall Village in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. You'll need to collect 5 of the fruits for a single cooked item.

These can be found in the tree's around Mistfall village, in the Vale of the Eternal Blossoms. The village is near the southern border of the region.

You can pick them while mounted, the smaller the mount the better as maneuvering yourself into position to grab them can be tricky. So less mount taking up your screen space the better.

While picking these straight from the trees I was having a hard time on my protodrake. With my face directly inside of a pomfruit I was still "too far away". You need to be fairly high above these to interact with them.

Hint:
A tank can't be Frastornato by NPCs which helps while gathering. Some birds are in the trees, waiting for fresh meat.
Some tanks also have access to mountspeed increasing effects.
Remember: Pomfruit only last 2h. Logout will stop the timer.
The stack tooltip lies: Each fruit has it's own decay timer. Picking up a new one won't reset the timer on all that you've gathered so far.
+300 agi bonus can also be aquired by using Spaghetti di Riso "Nebbia Marina" or Kit per Carretto degli Spaghetti del Tesoro created buff food.

Imho this is a good recipe because the mats for Fette di Pomo d'Oro Marinato are easier to get than for Spaghetti di Riso "Nebbia Marina".

Two tips: 1) use a small mount. I'd suggest Gryphons/Wind Riders or the Red Flying Cloud.

2) Druid flight form. I'm aware not everyone has a druid main/alt, but it will certainly speed up the process.

Unfortunately, this fruit is still difficult to loot from the trees. The quest that provided the fireworks is no longer available; it would be nice if those fireworks were sold by a vendor. If you can manage to get directly above the pomfruit, you can loot them without too much trouble, except for the birds.

if you pick these when your bags are full, you will not get an 'inventory is full' warning and the fruit will disappear from the tree

As stated the fruits can be found in the trees (round and green they stand out) a good trick is to zoom camera to first person view then can pick them extremely EZ.

It's actually not that fussy to do, using a small mount, fly to the apples and pick rapidly. You don't need to wait for the apples to disappear, just click on all of them in succession and fly away. Often, I'm away before the birds take notice
