The color variations are as follows, for reference in color choice.

Blue Serpent Egg will look like Hyacinth and rewards you with Reins of the Azure Cloud Serpent
Green Serpent Egg will look like Li Ying and rewards you with Reins of the Jade Cloud Serpent
Yellow Serpent Egg will look like Sun and rewards you with Reins of the Golden Cloud Serpent

After you have completed the chain, earned Exalted and obtained your Serpent, you will be able to purchase the other 2 colors from San Redscale for 2100g/ea(Exalted Price)

You may also save yourself some gold if you have other level 90 alts and would rather do this questline (and reach Exalted with them) for each different color.

Obtainable only after the player has hit level 90 (flying mounts are handy), and has completed "Choosing the One" quest with Order of the Cloud Serpent. One of three colors available as a reward (yellow, green or blue), they look just like the mini-serpents on Windward Isle (see the grown serpents for what they'll look like later).
Once a player completes Choosing the One, they open up a large amount of daily quests which grant rep with Order of the Cloud Serpent and give the player a "parenting" aspect to raising their newborn hatchling!

Just wanted everyone to know that he gives you a chance to change your mind after you pick your egg but you can't let it hatch and then change.
