This item can only be bought by alliance, which therefore makes it a horde rarity, if you are on a PvE or RP server you should not have that much trouble x-fering it over to your alliance character BUT if you are on a PvP or RPPvP server you should have some difficulty recieving this item so always check the Neutral AH's and keep looking. On my server it costs 50g for just the pattern because i am Horde so try to make some Ally friends :D

i just picked up 2 of them 17 minutes apart, so the respawn might be 15 minutes

To purchase the recipe, fly to Astranaar, goto Benjari Edune, (18,50) and pick up the quest Three Friends of the Forest.

Complete the quest by finding Bolyun (18,60) and accept his quest In a Bind, kill Kaliva when she spawns behind you and loot Heart of Kaliva.

Complete In a Bind by handing this in to Bolyun and then you will be able to speak to Harlown Darkweave and purchase your Pattern: Herbalist's Gloves.

Can anyone tell me if its only Leatherworkers who can speak with Benmjasri Edune? I just did these quests on my Alchemist and I still can't speak to the vendor.

I've done the quest chain and am still unable to see the pattern in the vendor's inventory. Am I missing something? Wowhead lists eighteen items in his inventory, but I only see seventeen.. The pattern is missing. I've been watching for it for thirty minutes.

Came to do the small quest to get the pattern for my LWing monk, as soon as the vendor opened, I checked to see if the pattern was there, and it was not. So.. unless it's just my bad luck, be prepared to wait a bit before the pattern pops up, apparently not available right away, or at least it wasn't for me.

On the bright side: You don't need a leatherworker to get the pattern and it isn't BoP so you can sell it on the AH

The vendor unlocks (and the pattern is available) as soon as you've completed In a Bind

Now that cross faction is enabled, you can complete this on your Alliance toon and just mail it to your Horde toon.
It only took about 10 min to complete the quest line (as a level 60) and unlock the pattern at the vendor.
