As a Feral DPS kitty I can be pretty fragile. So doing this kind of quest is murder on the repair bills.

Try this!

1. Scope out the bubbles with the least likely aggro pull.

2. Summon the worm.

3. Run forward and ATTACK!

4. STAY right under the belly of the beast or at least close enough to avoid the Lava Spit arc of butt kickery.

5. Run back and place the bomb when the you are prompted to.

6. Run forward and snuggle the snake again in case your timing was off.

7. If it worked YOU WIN! If not then you are still alive and can try again.

I have a 127k health and only took maybe 15k damage.

Thanks to Kylix. Took me a couple more tries but it worked. I backed up too far at first, then not far enough. The reward is paltry... only 2 World Tree marks. Nice challenging quest.

My mage experience: Found a nook in Magma Springs, just before the path that runs up to Ragnaros Reach, just past the entrance to Igneous Depths, with a bubbling lava pool and a pacing Molten Behemoth in front of it. Back up into the nook and wait for Behemoth to walk directly away from you. Then attack the worm. Behemoth walks left and right, but wait until he walks directly away from you. You will have 38-39 seconds to attack and kill the worm. If he does get involved (as he did for me), it was just as worm died and I zipped outta there; Behemoths are slow.

The fighting directions noted in Kylix's directions are excellent.

This is a bit tough but it is doable even for a melee. You have to avoid the worms lava shower ability, right there a message will prompt for you to place the bomb. There will be a blue arrow pointing down to where you should place the bomb. Do so, it'll look like the worm is coming down to eat it or something, afterwords if you've successfully planted the bomb, it'll explode and you'll be able to kill the big nasty worm quickly!
