You can make a ton of money off of these. I sell them for 2 to 2.5 gold per stack, and they sell fast. And the earthroot and deviated fish that u need to make them are not that expense to buy when you think your going to sell 20 of them for 10 gold.

These sell for around 2G each (after extention to 20 mins) on Arathor Realm (EU). Excellent little money spinner, pain in the backside going to the barrens for the Deviate fish though.

BTW be careful not to use one of these before you go into a building, or while you are inside and may need to get out fast....

If you're just looking for the strength increase, Elixir of Ogre's Strength has the same effect without the size change, with arguably more common mats (and a 1 hour duration).

these go for 40-60G per stack on my allies' server- they paid for my epic mount in no time and put me through college to boot. deviate fish are expensive too (usually @ 20-30G per stack) but it doesn't take much effort to get your fishing up and get them yourself. however the potions are worth next to nothing on my hordies' server, so go figure.

Here is a list of growth effects - these used to stack but were disabled around patch 3.1 to only reflect one growth buff at most:

Grow (repeatable buff from short Horde questline)
Elixir of Giant Growth - or - Winterfall Firewater
- Elixir effect is amplified by Mixology for all alchemists. (Thanks Asmodoues!)
Gigantic Feast
Bloodlust / Heroism
Mojo: /kiss while mounted (Edit: this has been " fixed™ " and does not work anymore)

Edit: it appears that Transporter Malfunction from the engineering trinket Ultrasafe Transporter: Toshley's Station will stack with the others. I'm not sure why these stack but the others don't.

These no longer work on my level 33 Warrior in patch 5.0.4. I get the error message "Target is too low level". The potion still states it requires level 8.

- Looks like this was fixed today. My warrior can once again use these potions. If Blizzard respond to my petition I will update this post.
- Blizzard sent me a generic email stating they do not offer game hits and that I should use the gaming community to find help..

I have no idea if this will be useful to anybody, but hey, it might be...

On my alchemist (i.e., has Mixology) tauren, I found she can't fit through most Pandarian doorways while under growth, if she just walks straight in - but if I she does a little hop on the way through, she doesn't get stuck. I have these potions on her constantly, just because I love her being holy-crap-huge, so for the price a bit of a jiggle is much preferable to removing the buff just to fit through a stupid door >:\

It sure does take effort to remember that she's not actually moving slower though. It's an excellent example of human perception bias.

Just a side note to add here, if you are an alchemist with the ability to create the Elixir of Giant Growth, besides giving you the double duration time of 40m, it will also give you increased size as opposed to non-alchemists. I'd say around 10-20% more.

I don't know if this has always been the case since I've never used them previously, but if you drink another while one is still active, the buff refreshes with a 35 minute duration. Even when refreshed with only seconds left on the original. The character I used it on isn't an alchemist.

Does the "increase growth size" work anymore? I have 2 characters with alchemy, one with maxed skill, and the other around 200.
On the one with 600 level, he is an ally male NE. I usually use the elixir with Bussola d'Ottone di Ser Torello just for the jiggles.

On my other alt with 200 skill level, he is a tauren, and when I use the elixir, he doesn't get as tall as my ally? Is it because of the Bussola d'Ottone di Ser Torello or is it because I have to level his alchemy skill up?

as far as i can tell none of the increase size buffs stack anymore. i tried tosselwrench's shrinker, gigantic feast, vrykul drinking horn, elixir of giant growth, and none of them stacked at all. it appears the largest you can get now is using mr smite's brass compass and the elixir or the drinking horn, and thats it.

And it feels like proper size.
Because clearly most raids were designed for large characters.

The Elixir has recieved a nerf as of Dragonflight instead of 40 minutes with alchemy it's now 20 minutes.

As of 11/26 it is now fixed to 40mins if you have alchemy. Also, this now stacks to 200! No more wasting bag space!
