Rather than the mear +90 to mastery this gives(seeing as everything gives +90 to stam and one other stat).

im more focused on how this one recipe can get me up to 520 fishing with ease as opposed to other recipes that take me to 477.

Tanking food options:

Spiedino di Anguilla Druids obviously
Minestrone Vulcanico block/absorb
Tagliata di Ventrenero/Pescefango ai Funghi avoidance
Crocolisco Gratinato threat

Note that only Druids gain optimal benefit from Brodetto Imperiale di Pesce, as the plate tanking specs generally don't value Strength highly.

In my tests with my Prot Pally, the mastery rating from this buff seemed to be enough to raise my mastery by 0.5! I use this to my advantage by knowing whether the buff will be enough to raise me over the next whole point of mastery. If it won't be enough, then I use other tank food like dodge or parry.
