I've made 2 of these. Both times I turned them into "Grunt Grimful" who is located in the Org Auction House.

First time I made them, the CD was ~40mins. I turned that one in and my 'Bulging Sack of Gold' held ~25 gold.
Second time, the CD was ~24 hrs. I turned that one in for ~14g.

For 3 inks (3/4 stack of herbs) plus a parchment this does not seem like it will be anything special.

I got over 17g two days running. It is a nice profitable way to level inscription while waiting for the volatile life prices to drop.

Edit: Today's sack was 23g.

Just Opened my bag today and i received 24g 37s 93c. This was my second bag. i do not remember what i got in my first one, but i think i got 14-15g

These documents do not have a static turn-in, as the quest text suggests. It simply tells you to find a Stormwind citizen who will accept them. Gold payout varies as well. It is, as mentioned above, a reasonably profitable way to level your scribbling.

Alliance targets appear to be Thomas Miller, Auctioneer Chilton, and Jelinak Sharpshear, all of whom are found in the Trade District.

ETA: Also Field Marshal Stonebridge, just outside the district in the Valley of Heroes, Darlene Stokx in Old Town, Matthias Shaw in SI:7.(##RESPBREAK##)6408##DELIM##CalaelenDT##DELIM##

K, once you have the quest, the person you can turn it in with will have a yellow Question Mark over their head! Then you get the bag of gold.
Indeed, most of the professions that have a cool-down now reset at midnight, server time. You can do the quest at anytime during that 24 hours and the cool-down shown will be the time until midnight.
Dailies reset now at 3AM server time.

Well, you are forging documents, how else do you think you get anything out of it aside from ripping people off?

These are also great for skillups from 500 to 510 (possibly further) if you don't mind waiting for the cooldown. Probably the cheapest high-level skillup ever.

For the record I've done 7 of these now, gold has varied between 10 and 25 gold, seems to be random every time.

Cheap and easy way to Level inscription since relics on my server sell for around 75g and mats for them cost in the hundreds, making them or rune scrolls is out of the question. The cool-down resets at midnight server and from what I've heard the quest can award up to 50g but it varies daily.

I've gotten 26g and change once. Mostly 10-15.

Once you're at 525, there's not much point in making this anymore. On my server, the ink is selling for 19g each, so this costs almost 60g for a 26g max return. Maybe 50, if Tizzlebub is right.

I made it at 840am server time, and it has a 15 hour, 20 minute cooldown. So, looks like local midnight is the turnover. Will have to try and make one late at night and see what happens.

When you turn this in, the NPC will usually give you some kind of response. The responses tend to be humorous, and highlight the immorality of this quest and your character's presumed ethics for doing such a thing:

I would like to point out that the range is probably something around 10g to 26g. I saw on the Horde side that someone said that the gold amount can be as low as 13g and as high as 26g (according to their results) but I received 10g today.

The amount seems to vary greatly.

This quest is made by Inscriptionists using 1 Resilient Parchment and 1 Blackfallow Ink, lvl 500 Inscription. There is also a midnight reset on it, so only 1 can be made per day and Binds on Pickup so unless you're in the profession you won't be able to get one.

I made several over a week and handed them in to Auctioneer Chilton, getting 17-25 gold each time. Walked out with over an extra 150g!

I've been leveling Inscription in preparation for MoP and I've been creating one of these a day for 10 days now.

Average gold : 14g 30s (10 turn-ins)

It doesn't pay back for the inks, but it's better than shelling out loads of money on pricey rare inks and volatile lifes.
